A big splash ensued as the huge, hard shark toad lobbed out from the shallow pool and followed a projectile trajectory until it arrived five feet in front of Azraf.

Azraf stood deep-rooted in his spot, scanning the creature with acute emphasis. His gaze traced from its rough rocky back to its eyes, nose, fins and mouth, which appeared as a shark’s, then to its round abdomen and its muscular hind and forelimbs that gave its body the appearance of a full-fledged toad.
Azraf aimed to unearth its weak points, but after he finished examining it, he realized that he basically had no specific method of handling the creature.
