A confused grunt escaped the lungs of the Bagyls. Ivana had sent them off so easily. Of course there might be something shady about all of this, yet they had been driven to go retrieve the IGMA. Without retrieving it, they wouldn't find peace.

The Bagyls turned away from her and started walking away. Their paces were timed and sequential, although once in a while there was a subtle change in their body movements. This part was something that she couldn't really explain.

Ivana watched as they walked away. There was no point in holding them back. If she was to fight them, then she would just be wasting her time. This wasn't that type of fight that she wanted to be a part of.

The IGMA was no longer on the island. There was no reason to hold the Bagyls back from going to the island. If they go there and can't find the IGMA, there were the possibilities of two things happening:

One, the Bagyls would come back looking for her. And when they find her eventually, it would be quite a deadly

Araguta stood at the front of the blazing fire. The body of Slade was burning at his feet. His eyes were keen on the body as though he was expecting anything unusual to happen out of the blue. He didn't have to set the clone on fire because the clone had dissolved not long after he had attacked the main body. Also, not long after he attacked the main body, he had dragged the body out of his house to the garden at the back. There, he had taken a cup of fuel and bathed the corpse in it. After which he lit blue flames from his fingertip and threw it at the body. Although the body had taken a long time to burn into ashes, proving that the man that he had just killed was not just a mere human! If it was a mere human, he would have felt bad. In fact, when he started out burning the corpse of Slade, if the flame burned a part of the body, then the body would renew its flesh and look even more beautiful and clear. Araguta had been scared witless by this. Even though he wss blind in both

"How can this be?" Araguta was swarmed by utter confusion. This was beyond any logic of human. "I burnt you to ashes. How come you're..." He trailed off for a moment. He wouldn't have been this shocked and surprised if a little boy hadn't appeared to him while he was fortifying his duplex. If he hadn't seen the little boy and had gone to sleep, he would have thought that perhaps Slade's spirit has come to haunt him in his sleep. Right at this moment, Araguta didn't know how to make meaning of what was happening right now. He was trying to use all his logic yet nothing seemed to prove useful. "This cannot be. Is this some sort of magic? Dark magic?" He moved away from the familiar face staring at him. When he looked around, the entire place was large and endless. It was a stretch of large field whose end could not be seen. Even if he were to make a run for it, there was no guarantee that he would find a place to hide. "You haven't noticed it yet, have you?" Slade asked, taking a

"No! You cannot go!" Araguta was startled, clueless as to what to do next. "Hey! Hey! Where did you go just now?" He yelled, jumping off the bed and running out of the room. He ran around all the rooms and corners of the whole building yet a trace of Slade couldn't be found. In fact, he tried to appraise some of his magical abilities but nothing worked for him. "How did he get his hand on the IGMA? How did he know how to summon it without my consent?" Confusion ate through the mind of this man. Araguta had gone through days and nights of seclusion on the zenith of the hickory tree. He had been able to achieve this because he disappeared into one of the thick forests in the county. Being there alone for three months, he conjured and perfected a spell that made it able for him to conceal the IGMA in a virtual realm that no creature, no matter how powerful, would be able to reach. The only way anyone could get the IGMA would be through his consent. In fact, the IGMA wasn't tied to

Araguta was scared out of his mind as he stared at these creatures. He couldn't come to terms with what was staring him right in the face. He thought that these creatures were supposed to be myth. Why were they standing right in front of him and staring him deep in the eyes?He quickly shook the thoughts off his mind. Although he was still worried and stunned speechless, he couldn't let the shock cloud his sense of activity. He needed to react to this situation promptly. "Take it yourself." He retorted. The Baggyls made a weird sound. Araguta didn't need to use a refining skill in order to know that the Baggyls were truly displeased with what he had just said. "Hand it over." The Bagyls repeated, wanting to move closer but they just couldn't move closer than they already were. "Why are you asking me this when you can take it yourself?" Araguta argued, keeping his ground. Of course he was worried that this situation might go real bad real quick, yet he didn't want to cower like a

There were a group of people gathered in the spacious living room of the Howers mansion. The living room was not arranged as every normal living room, instead it was converted into a short-term meeting hall. About twenty-five people were gathered around a large table that was placed in the centre of the space, which reached into every corner of the area, so that no space was wasted. Each of these people belonged to a part of the extended family of the Howers family. They had all been summoned by Katrina to present themselves today at the family mansion. Since the past thirty minutes, there had been words flying around. Chatters and murmurs were dribbling across the space as they awaited Katrina's arrival. Some people didn't seem bold enough to speak on top of their voices so they had rather leave it as whispers that were confined to a degree of space and room. "Could it be about her illness?" An elderly man asked one of the younger ones seated around him. This man would be one o

Everyone sat upright, staring directly in her direction. Although the motive was clear; look directly at her. Yet none of them could dare to look her right in the eyes. "I'm giving out one percent of the Howers family shares in the Nyther-Rim Group." She announced. This announcement of hers sent the people into a maze of thoughts. There were a lot of meanings to be read to what she had just said. The silence went on for another few seconds. There were mutters and murmurs flying around the hall. None of the family members was bold enough to say the words out loudly. Soon enough, an elderly man, the man who had created the first conversation lifted his hand,"Excuse me," He called. The noise died down and all the gazes shifted in his direction. "By what you said, are you saying that the time has come when you'll give out a share?" He asked to be very certain. "I believe that was what I just said." Katrina replied at once. The man's face suddenly spread into a big smile as he sat

"You're a goner!!!" Roi yelled as the gun vibrated in his grip, watching his intentions gain life. The gun had been aimed at the forehead of Katrina, and the bullet was actively zooming through the air in that direction. There was a commotion in the hall. Everyone jumped away from their seats at the sound of a gunshot. Nothing could have prepared anymore for this turn of event. There was a fat smile on Roi's as he watched this happen. There was no sense or iota of regret haunting him at that moment. In fact, he was glad that finally he was able to pull through with the plot. Suddenly, a hand appeared at the front of Katrina's face. The palm was hovering over the face of Katrina. The back of the hand was facing Katrina, while the palm was facing the rest of the family members. The bullet that had been released from the pistol collided against the palm of the strange hand. Everyone watched as the bullet was crushed by the impact as though the palm was a very hard rock. Not even a

"What the actual fuck!""I can't be in my right mind, can I?""What the hell just happened right now?""Roi? Was that truly Roi?"What had just happened was something that couldn't be said. Of course everyone saw it, but couldn't find the right word to explain it. Roi was the only son of the immediate elder brother of Katrina. Katrina, as did everyone else, watched Roi grow into a fine and smart man. This meant that, Roi was the real blood of the Howers family. In the lineage of the Howers family, there was no trace of magic or sorcery known. How the hell then was Roi able to disappear in the blink of an eye? It could only mean one thing! He must have followed in the footsteps of Katrina. He must have involved himself in some dark magic.Shock and bewilderment tarried in the hall for another few moments. The silence was too loud for anyone to find their voice. Not even Katrina could utter a word. Katrina thought that she had everything figured out, but apparently that was a big fa

Everyone watched with mouth agape following what had just happened. They thought that they had seen it all when the demons changed into their true form and killed Manuel. Seeing what Slade had just done broke every barrier that their minds had set against the impossible. With just one swipe of the hand, Slade had created a deep and very dark hole. Everyone of them could see as the mouth of the dark hole opened as though it was the pulsing throat of a gigantic and wild beast. The throat of the dark vacuum had gobbled the demons and had vanished into thin air. "Master!!!" Ivana jumped on her feet instantly and raced towards Slade. Ivana who appeared to have lost her will and strength was suddenly and instantly energized. She looked like a different person at that moment. She ran towards Jaai and leapt into his chest. With her legs curled around his waist, and her arms around his neck, she hugged him with every bit of strength in her body. "What the hell is wrong with this girl?" S

  • Chapter 274

By this time, all the demons were done feasting on the body of Manuel and were now back to their old human forms. Even though they were looking like an average human now, Izuga couldn't see them as such anymore. Right now, he was pissing his pants and shuddering. It felt like he would pass out any moment from now. He couldn't even lift his gaze, let alone look at the demons. He wished that he could grow a wing and fly out of this fucking place. He wished that there was something he could do to vanish. But when the reality dawned on him, he realised that the only superpower that he had right now was just wishes. There was nothing he could do but wish. It should be relieving but it was a mere illusion. Araguta was equally shaken to the core. Of course he had fought in deadly battles and had dealt blows that were ruthless. He had killed a thousand of evil spirits and had summoned many, returning them back to where they came from. Yet, he had never seen any demon of this form. Demons

  • Chapter 273

The voice sounded so familiar to Sceptre that he couldn't do any other thing but be stunned by the suddenness of the call. Looking at the person who had just called his name, Sceptre's eyes widened in shock. With the look on his face, it would seem like he had just seen a ghost. "Izuga." Araguta, the man Sceptre muttered as he saw the man. "My son." He added. "Father!" The man, who now identifies as Izuga screamed. "What are you doing here" He asked, not ready to hear the answer. "I should be asking you this. How the hell did you get here?" The tone or Araguta had tuned so deeply that it was evident in his voice that this wasn't a reunion anymore. Sceptre was scolding his son as though he was an urchin who had just landed himself into a deep mess. He was way too annoyed than to be surprised to see him here. There was a reason they had fought and stopped seeing each other. Araguta had warned his son never to be part of the secret agent that worked for the government but Izuga had

  • Chapter 272

The man was wetting his pants right now as he saw what had just happened. He thought that he had seen cruel people all his life, but he had been telling himself a huge lie. What he had just seen was way more than just terrible. At first when he had seen the lady, he had thought that they were sex workers who came to please their clients. Instead, the ladies seemed scared of the men. This meant that the ladies must have been brought here against their own wills. They had been trafficked. A new wave of fear gripped the man. He was shaking. He was shuddering. If this kind of men were the people they had been brought to, doesn't that mean that they were done for?He wished that there was a way they could escape this kind of trouble but not in his wildest dreams would that be possible. He just knew it. The only way they would be rescued would be if perhaps an angel dropped down from heaven or a god. If that could happen, then perhaps they could have a shot at getting freed. The man's

  • Chapter 271

"He wanted to kill me! He almost killed me!" Manuel cried as soon as he saw the creatures. He was reporting to the creatures as though they would come to his aid and teach the man some lessons. Instead, two of the creatures grabbed each of them and dragged them in. "Where are you taking us?" The man argued, doing all he could to yank himself off the hard grip of the weird-looking creatures. Perhaps he thought that the powers that he had just exhausted on Manuel would find a way to resurface. If that were to be the case, then he wouldn't be dragged away like a sac of rice. When he stopped trying to free himself, he realised that they had entered what looked like a big hall. At this point, he was neither scared nor worried. Instead, he was curious. This hall looked like a medical lab where gigantic transparent tanks were lined up all across the space. There were aisles in between the rows of transparent tanks. Each tank held a type of creature that the man had never seen before. In

  • Chapter 270

The man was mellow through the journey. They walked through a dark hallway, then bursted into a hallway that had tiny hues of blue rays. The man had lifted his gaze for a moment to see where the blue rays were coming from, but his eyes were weary from the hard slap that he had received the second time. When the security had tried to drag him out of the prison, he had tried to put up a fight again, instead he met with a very laughable humiliation. Hence, to protect his ego and the thoughts of being capable, he decided that it would be best for him not to try and act the hero just like he was warned by the security.Soon enough, they approached a door that was saturated by a brilliant white light. The saturation was so high that it was hard to tell whether it was the door that was white or it was the white light that gave that illusion. They came to stop at the door. As soon as they stopped at the door, the three security personnel stepped away from them, letting them free. The sec

  • Chapter 269

Three men dressed in black plain suits appeared at the front of the gate. One of the men opened the gate and the others stepped in. Manuel was still on the floor, groaning in pain as he tried to sit up but he just couldn't. Of course he could see the men that had just walked in, but he was too weak to react in a certain way. "Who are you?" The man argued, staking a claim as he stared at the three men who were walking towards him. He wasn't the same old weak person he used to be. He was now a new person and would do anything to protect that interest. In the past, he would have cowered like a cornered animal. But right now, he was willing to give it whatever it takes to earn his freedom. After all, he now has some powers. "I'm warning you to stop right now when I'm being nice to you." He warned again as the men kept walking in his direction. They didn't care about his warning obviously. The fact that they didn't care about his warning was making him feel unseen. How could someone

  • Chapter 268

"What the hell is that?" The man wondered, turning back to Manuel to see what the hell was happening. Looking at the grip on his wrist, he saw Manuel's hand. Manuel's palm was locked around his wrist, holding him so strongly as though it would snap his wrist off. "What the hell!" He gasped, unable to explain how Manuel's grip got so strong. Wasn't this the same man that he had been hitting blue and black for a while now? Why all of a sudden, Manuel gained some strange strength? Why did it have to be when he was about to figure out where he was?He trailed the hand to the face of Manuel. Manuel's eyes were still shut just like it had always been. The eyelids didn't even flicker nor twitch. "Let go of my hand, you fool!" The man was getting rather impatient. "It's better you make the right decision before I break your face further." He threatened as though Manuel could hear him. He has been working as a secret agent for years. He knew what subconscious strength means. This is the c

  • Chapter 267

When consciousness was restored to his body, his eyes flickered for a moment. There was a strong urge to open his eyes but he couldn't follow through with it for some reasons. Soon enough, his eyes started itching. This time, there was no reason not to follow through with the obvious. His eyes flipped open. Then he shut them again as they met with blinding lights. When he tried to open the eyes again, he tried to do it carefully. He didn't want to fall into the same old ditch that he had fallen into earlier. Opening his eyes this time, he redirected the concentration of his pupils in another direction. That was the only way he could avoid the same old mistake. When his gaze fell on the other area, he saw something interesting that stole a weird sound from his throat. It was something that was rather instinctive than premeditated. It was the leg of a human. At first, he thought that the leg was disconnected from the body of the human but it wasn't. His eyes slowly trailed the leg
