Chapter 61

Slade was moved to the depth of his being as he stared at her. There were tears rolling from his eyes as he swallowed, letting all the emotions out.

"It was you wasn't it?" He asked softly, trying to create a conversation, yet not wanting to wake her up.

"The Poppings that called the cops the night of the evil occurrence. It was you."

Slade had been thinking about it ever since David mentioned those words. There was no other person whom he knew by that name.

In fact, he was the one who gave Mamita that name long ago.

It was a dull evening and they were playing on the lawn. Slade ran to a young and extremely pretty lady who was sitting on a reclining chair by the pool. There was a tablet in his hand.

"Look at her. She looks like you." Young Slade had said, pointing at a lady's picture on the tablet.

"Oh, Slade. Don't flatter me." The lady had chuckled, blushing a little when she saw the person in the picture.
