Jin casually entered the entrance for Gaia's Canyon. The guards who had levels of 25 had just stood frozen on the entrance.
He didn't mind them and entered the gate where he was greeted by the system interface.
Ting!
YOU HAVE ENTERED, GAIA'S CANYON!
"Mmmmm, let's go!"
Jin exhaled the air in the canyon, from the outside, you couldn't really tell that this was a canyon since from afar, it was located in the middle of the woods yet from the inside of the entrance, it became another terrain.
Quickly, Jin used [Flash]. He sprinted through the location to were the griffins were as he was only focusing on killing them. He didn't mind the other monsters in the area as he passed through them.
30 minutes passed, Jin arrived at the area where the griffins inhabit. It was on the edge of a steep mountain and just from above, there was a hole that could fit a bus inside. That was the cave in which the griffins lived.
"Ah, shit."
Jin was glad that he arrived at the place but there was no specific way to enter the cave. It was placed in the middle of the edge of the mountain and the passageway was very steep, one mistake could mean the end of his life and he wasn't certain if he could still revive just like last time.
"Wooh! If I don't do this, I won't level up fast."
Jin gritted his teeth and clench his fist. If he had a mountain climbing skill, this problem would be easy but sadly he didn't have one.
His only solution was to climb it with his own might.
He first check the area, he could see dented rocks that he could probably use to grab hold on but there might be a chance that the rocks might crack or fall out.
"Tsk, I don't have a choice do I?"
Jin said to himself. Slowly, he grab on one of the rocks, it was a sturdy one so it was safe to put all his weight into it. Next, he grabbed on another rock but this one cracked due to Jin's strength.
"Ah, crap!"
He sweated as he almost fell down. Eventually, he found another sturdy rock and slowly he climbed the steep mountain towards the cave.
The height of the cave from below was 20 meter high so if Jin fell from that height, it could mean fatal.
Sigh~
Jin relaxed himself, slowly he climb the steep mountain reaching him about 5 meters away from the cave.
He wanted to stop and took a rest, so he didn't move from his position. He looks up from the cave and saw that he was almost there so he sighed in relief.
He looks down from the ground and realizes he was already high up from the mountain causing him to get nausea.
He had forgotten that he was afraid of heights and when he saw the height he was in, his head began to spin causing his posture to become imbalanced.
'Shit! I don't wanna fall *burp*'
Jin wanted to puke so hard but he forces himself not to cause this was a gamble of life and death scenario.
Crack!
Jin heard a cracking noise, as he observes his vicinity, it was the rock on his right hand that was about to crumble due to his strength and body weight.
Any longer, the rock wouldn't be able to hold Jin's whole body that would cause him to fall and just in an instance, his instincts made him activate his spatial inventory where it looks like he had fall in mid-air as he had removed both of his hands from the rock.
He didn't know why he had done this since it was purely by instincts so he had no choice but to trust on his body's ability.
Jin quickly pulled out both the Dreaded Fang and the Rusty knife from his spatial inventory and he struck them both through the walls of the mountain.
He had avoided the fall due to his instincts.
"I am, I'm alive!"
Jin took a deep breath in relief. He look at the two weapons he had struck in the ledge. It was like the daggers had stick like glue as it didn't make him fall.
With this, Jin slowly remove one of the daggers and stuck it above the upper walls. He continued this process and finally, in 3 minutes he had successfully entered the cave.
"Damn, that was thrilling!"Jin brushed off the dirt in his body. He retrieve the Rusty Knife and equipped the Dreaded Knife.
He walked down the cave and eventually arrive at the center. To his surprise, there was no Griffins even if he searched thoroughly, there was nothing!
"Hehehe, this is some joke right?"
Jin couldn't believe it. It meant that his efforts where all in vain. He wanted to laugh it all off but there was nothing he could do.
He thought why were there no griffins. If he was to say that the griffins went hunting, he wouldn't believe that since griffins hunt at night and the time was at early 7:00 am frozen.
The only theoretical thing he could think is that the griffins might have been hunted by some hunters before the time had ran out.
The cooldown of the griffins respawn was 3 days and if Jin would wait for 3 days, it would all be useless since time had also been frozen so there was no way they'd respawn.
"Fucking piece of shit hunters! If I see you again, I'll beat you to pulp that you could never see daylight anymore!"
Jin rustled in regret. He hated all of the hunters in the world since they were all greedy, selfish and stupid. If he returns, he wouldn't hesitate to kill them with his own hands if it meant for the better of humanity.
Jin walked out of the cave depressed. He slide down the steep mountain looking dead.
As he dropped down the ground, he continued walking. He thought of the horrible things the hunters did to him like that once, he was made by some psycho hunter as a lab rat.
Eventually, he snapped out of it and looked at the bright side.
"It's okay if I can't find any griffins, there are still tons of monsters there ready for me to kill."
Jin continued on running. He saw a group of sand scorpions and each he killed with his trusty dagger. He had received 2 levels as a result.
He save up the points for the future since he must be wary if they're something that would happen.
Then, he found a giant cobweb where there, a bunch of big spiders resting. In the middle of the cobweb, a giant spider that would be their mother froze to sleep.
"Spiders have strong limbs but their body is very fragile. So their stomach should be their weak points, the journalist also said that their blood and saliva has 70% acidity imbued in it so if I were to come in contact with it, I might get poisoned."

WIDOW
Rank: Mid-tier Boss
Level: 20
HP: 25,000
"A boss, and a mid-tier one it is."
It was Jin's first time encountering a mid-tier boss. The difference between a low-tier and a mid-tier boss is that the mid-tier has more various sets of skills and not only that, if their HP reaches to 10% they'd go berserker meaning their defense and would abruptly go down but all the other skills would be enhanced by a few folds. One can tell if they are going berserk if they emit a red and livid aura. There berserk only lasts for a minute but in that time, many hunters who encounter mid-tier boss would lose their life, even if they try to escape from their range, a berserk boss will hunt you down so there is no escaping there grasps.
Well, they do have a downside. After there berserk mode, their status will decrease by half so they would become nothing more than a sack of XP.
Many hunters would try and constrict the boss until its berserk stops and right after that, they'd barrage it with skills. There are also intelligent monsters that right after their berserk ends, they'd momentarily flee until their backlash stops and regenerate enough health so they could return in killing the hunters.
But all of those were useless to Jin. He wasn't moved at all, more or less Jin was happy. The stronger the boss, the better the loot he'd receive.
"The poison is the problem."
Jin had to be cautious. For now, he had also included his VIT in enhancing since he still don't know how heavy the damage he will receive if in an instant he would be struck by the poison.
Not only that, but the duration of the poison must be also on the look, this might cause him to die as he didn't have an antidote in his inventory.
If he was to kill the spiders from the webs, their blood might leak and spurt out so it would be dangerous. His plan was to cut all of the webs first so the spiders would drop down the ground and there he could kill them easily.
But first, Jin had to check how strong the web threads are.
"Let's see... that!"
Jin placed all his strength to the dagger trying to cut it but the result only cause it to make a few sparks as it collides with the blade.
"Hmmm...its pretty sturdy. I think this thread is made of steel since sparks form after I hit it."
Jin examined the thread. The thread had a very high defensive stats so if Jin uses his basic attacks, it might take him at least 20 hits to cut it. That in all is very tiring and would waste much time so he had no other option.
"Wait! I think I have a skill!"
Jin realized that he had accumulated 3 skills after getting his class. One of it was [Hunter Strike] that lets him deal damage in a large area, but since thorns came out instead of waves, he needed to have high accuracy to hit one of the thorns onto the thin threads.
"Let's try, [Hunter Strike]!"
The Dreaded Fang began to emit black aura and when Jin slashed it at the endpoint where the webs had been struck too.
Woosh!
Blackthorns that had a meter in length from in the black aura of the dagger. The thorns flew out in a fan-shaped area mostly piercing the spiders near the edge of the webs.

.
..Only one of the threads had been successfully cut but the damage in each thorn was immensely high. Not only that, the decrease in defense made damage higher and higher depending on how many thorns had hit the spiders.Well, it wasn't a really devastating damage since each spider had 5,000 HP. Jin was trying to compare it to the last monsters he had killed. The difference between monsters in high levels makes such a huge gap between those in the low levels so Jin had to adapt to this change.
He could also see that that thorns that pierce down the spiders slowly fade as this was the duration for the decrease in defense.
"This is harder than I thought."
Wonder why Jin thought it was hard? It was not only that he had to wait for 15 seconds before he could use it again. His intelligence was very low meaning his mana would also below. He only had 90 mana points and since he had continuously use it due to [Flash] meaning his current mana was 23/90. The mana would regenerate by 2 every 5 seconds so apparently, it would take some time before he could continue on casting skills.
It was good that he was hitting two birds with one stone since he could damage the spiders from afar making him relatively safe and could slowly cut down the threads but the percentage in which he could cut even one thread was lower than 30%, so there was a high chance that he can't succeed on cutting a thread.
Well, he could use the status points he had saved up from the last extermination and increase his intelligence but he was still wary of his HP since it had no regeneration.
If he had known of this outcome, Jin would have saved up a lot of mana and health potion. His only choice was to stop this for now and go hunting other monsters in the canyon and return here. If he would do this, there would be a chance that he might get a skill or two that could help him in subjugating this monster with ease.
"Might as well give up for now."
Jin sighed in regret. This was only for the good for him since he was learning from his mistakes and continue growing not only physically but also mentally.
Before that, Jin opened his player status and distributed the reserved points to VIT and INT to increase them both.

Jin focused on leveling for now. He needed 86k XP to level up so now Jin search for other monsters hoping he could carry on with his mission. Exterminating the Widow.
Jin had spent many hours searching for monsters. The hunting ground was 4 times the size of the previous one he had entered so he had a hard time searching for monsters. He could sometimes pass through wandering monsters like orcs and such so he would immediately kill them yet the XP he'd gain was still not enough.Time was a bit tricky here so he'd guess that he had been traveling for a half a day now since the sun doesn't set.Completely isolated out of nowhere, Jin didn't stop searching for monsters. Though he didn't really exactly know the places he'd reach, he had tracked all of his pace with his system map that records the location on which a hunter goes so this was very useful to Jin.He wouldn't be lost in track when he could just check the system map. He could also pinpoint locations if he wanted to go in that place later like he had just done to the spider nest so if he ever finds hard bosses that he thinks he couldn't defeat, he'd just pinpoint
'Am I dead?'Jin asks. As he felt that he was pulled down the abyss, his body felt cold as if he was drench in icy water.'Sigh, I wasn't able to finish my goal. It was all due to my selfishness, tch! I can't accept this! I want to live!'Jin's thrive to survive was still burning. He didn't want to stop until he fulfills his goal. Even if he was to return from square one, he'd continue in his path and become stronger as he wanted it to happen. This was his only option so he could show everyone that he was not just some loser who had to live his life in fear, as his dream was to become a hero. Someone who is there to help others in need and fight for what's right yet those were just imaginative thoughts as reality was harsh.Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift, that's why it's called a present. (Note: I change its name from Terra drake to Mountain drake.I also forgot to place the class as Rogue not <none>)Drakes. Descendants of Dragons. Unlike Wyverns, Drakes are more powerful and more similar r than dragons. The mountain drake is a drake that is entirely strong due to its high defense and health. For 10 years, the only drake that they have spotted was the mountain drake and it is oddly only found in Gaia's Canyon. Hunters have seen the mountain drake numerous times flying in the high sky but surprisingly, no one had ever encountered it closely as it could only be seen in a very short time and its location could not be found. There was once a strong marksmen classed hunter who tried to shoot it mid-air. By using his most powerful skill, he had hit the drake but in his surprise, the damage he dealt was only 1 meaning it was ridiculously strong, the most surprising fact is that, the drake didn't mind the incoming attack and continue to hover
"[Hunter Strike]!"Jin, reequipped Dreaded Fang and activates [Hunter Strike]. His plan was to check out how high the drake's defense is and what it is capable of defending.Blackthorns appear in the sharp edge of the dagger. Simultaneously, they flew out in a fan shape area reaching up to a couple meters far. Jin had aimed the attack towards the Drake causing all of the thorns to move through it.As it was about to collide, the aura that had covered the drake, rebounded all of the thorns back at him.Tang! Tang! Tang! With his spiteful instincts, Jin avoided the thorns with an inch of a gap. He was surprised after seeing that the thorns were all repelled by the aura like light bouncing off a mirror."Phew! Why the hell did it not work?"Jin questioned himself. He returned back his dagger to his inventory as he had no use of it at the moment.Damage skills might not work against the drake since it had repelled his skill attack.
Dugudugdudgud! The ground began to shake violently causing tremors inside the cave. Rock on the ceiling began to drop down the ground. Jin avoided the falling rocks and cleared the window interface."Damn! What the hell? I didn't knew about this?"Jin immediately sprint out of the cave and check at what was happening. The cliff on which Jin had entered was slowly dispersing into pixels like this hunting ground was some sort of virtual reality. He didn't had second thoughts and went running as fast as he could back to the entrance. Using his skill [Thunder Clapper] and [Flash] at the same time, he dashed like a bullet that seems to not slow down and it's even getting faster.Dugudududug! Crack! Gurugurug! The ground shook more violently and cracks began to form. As he gaze behind him everything was getting swallowed into a void."I'm not gonna make it!"He estimated his time at arriving at the entrance was about 30 mins at full
1000 years ago, the legendary Dragon began to wreak havoc in different kingdoms causing calamity to its path. The houses, buildings, and castles where destroyed, millions of innocent people died as a result of its wrath. As despair had been placed to all of the hearts of the survivors, 5 heroes appear right in front of their eyes giving them hope. These 5 heroes fought off against the legendary dragon. Fighting with their lives, they made the dragon return back to its slumber but the price to pay was high, it cost them their life. The remnants of the battle was horrifying, one of the heroes had managed to remove one of the dragon's fangs which the legendary blacksmith, Gred use to forge 8 swords. Each sword had the power to demolish anything in its path. One of the sword was given to a certain man that eventually became a legend. After the kingdoms learn of the powerful swords, they began to pursuit down Gred so they could get their hands of it but
Elemental stones are stones consist of a certain type of pure magical power. These stones come from a variety of elemental power. The basic type of elements would be fire, wind, water, earth, lightning, and nature. Each one holds a certain amount of power that generates with the wielder's mana. If an element undergoes stages which they could either mix with another element or foreign non-elements bonds with this element, they would turn into a new type of element, the secondary element. The secondary element consists of poison, blood, magma, storm, ember, steel, etc. There are also elements that get their power from entirely different sources that doesn't connect with the first or the secondary element. They are called the Special element. From the name itself, the special element has unique traits. Unlike the first element, the special element could turn either very pure or very corrupt and each one of them holds a strong power that could trample or bring f
"Did I miss something? No, I was sure that I killed all of the monsters and the map is already complete, so what did I forget?"He rolled his brain to try and recall the encounters with the monsters he had just do. He was 100% sure that the monsters had all died, even if they didn't, the poison effect had still inflicted on them so they wouldn't have survived unless."Unless some of them had poison resistance!"Jin returned back from the start and redo the process again. After finishing the process, yet no monster had truly survived so why wasn't the system making an alert?"Woah!! Fucking piece of broken technology!"Frustration caused him to kick down a rock in the ground. The rock went flying away and as he looked in the ground where the rock had stood, small insects could be seen in the ground."Don't tell me?!"He looked at the insects closely and in his surprise, the insects where actually monsters."Do I have to check al

"No no no!"After the small dome of flame dissipated, Jin hurriedly went to check Scar. His body had been fully scorched in flames leaving nothing but his whole body burnt in crisp.Jin grabbed his body and tightly embraced it. Tears drop down on his eyes, crying and crying fully regretting what he just did."Scar, I'm sorry... I'm sorry! Please don't leave me!!!"He helplessly cried out his heart. Scar was the only person that made him feel special. Before Jin could finally meet up with Scar, Mufasa had grabbed Scar up in the air and threw him down the ground.Crash!Crashing down the trees and tumbling down the ground, Scar got up his feet.He wasn't worried about the damage only was he worried about Jin."Uhmmm...is that Mufasa?"Jin said as he looked at the sinister creature flying above the air. Quickly averting Mufasa's gaze towards Jin, a grin etched on his face."@%@&$+$&#+!!:#±&"Mufasa was speaking gibberish words that couldn't be understood by anyone. His tone was now quite deeper and scarier than his previous voice. This made Jin shiver in fear, he had now regretted why he had return back even if Scar had already clearly stated to never return and flee as far away as he could.'Shit.'Swearing as he gulped down nervous saliva, he wanted to escape from Mufasa's devilish stares that looked like he was staring into his soul."DI
"What the...! Did you just use [Hunger]?"In a shocking surprise, Mufasa couldn't believe what had happened to Scar."..."Scar, on the other hand, didn't say any word and just stared at Mufasa menacingly. He placed his sword up high in the air and fire began to swirl on the blades that made Mufasa shiver in doubt.'C-could it be? He's trying to use that skill again?'Sweat drip down from his forehead thinking that Scar might again use his powerful skill that should've been in cooldown yet he didn't flinch. From his palms, black orbs appeared, it was the size of a baseball which he used to throw towards Scar nonstop.Boom! Boom!.....Every black orb exploded when it got near Scar's vicinity but a wall fo flame appeared every time the orbs explode that defended Scar when he was still charging his skill."A wall of flame? I have never heard a skill like that from yours? Is that a newly acquired skill?"Mufasa asked S
Mufasa didn't use any type of weapon and only rely on his brute strength and techniques alone. He uses his long and sharp nails as blades defending the barrage of attacks made by the Pete and the others. They used their swords and try to damage Mufasa but he was too fast for them to even land a single blow."He's fast!""Ya think!"They continued on slashing their swords towards Mufasa to try and give enough time for Scar to finish charging his powerful skill."How much longer?"Pete shouts out to Scar who was raising his sword, Burning Rapier up in the air charging up his special skill [Prominence Burn] that lets him deal heavy damage to the targets in a straight line, it ignores 100% of magical defense and adds a 60% burn damage to the target that lasts up to 20 seconds. "Mufasa? I think I heard of that name before? Where was it?""There's no time for that! C'mon! Let's go!"Hurriedly, they return back in the base which is of course their cabin.Arriving on their base, the other three beastmen arrived just in time. They sat in the table with cold vibes. Pete and the others were sweating in fear seeing that Scar was dreadfully serious. On the other hand, Jin was utterly confused about what was happening."Pete, what's happening?"Jin whispered Pete who was swallowing his nervous saliva."His twin brother Mufasa, had betrayed Gred's will. His will was to protect the 8 swords no matter what happens but Mufasa was blinded by greed and wanted the power of the 8 swords by himself. Jin's training went on for 2 weeks and 3 days. His time limit inside the dungeon was only 4 weeks so he still had a week and 4 days inside the dungeon, and in that time, he must complete the dungeon's mission: to kill the dungeon boss and find the chest key.Now he had doubts if he had to actually kill Scar. Scar had already done many things for Jin that he was very grateful for and he would feel disgusted by himself if he was to betray his benefactor that he had already taken advantage of by acting as his long lost brother.Due to the training using the practice sword, Jin has accumulated about 48 status points: 13 in STR, 12 in AGI, 12 in INT, and 11 in VIT which was equal to raising almost 8 levels in all.The practice sword had been given as a gift for Jin after defeating Scar and they would continue to train every day for 5 hours. Not only Scar gave him a reward, but the system was also grateful enough to see his efforts and gave him a certain gift.<
"Scar wake up!""Ugh, what?"Scar slowly opened his eyes. His head ached and his eyes were blurry for a moment. Shortly, his vision was again clear and he could see Jin with a bright face."You promise me that you'd teach me how to use the sword!"Jin couldn't wait to be taught by a master swordsman. Stretching his body and as he slowly back up from his bed, Scar scratched his scalp to ease the headache."Did I? I don't remember."Jin pouted like a cute girl knowing that Scar would forget about his promise since he was drunk that night so it would be normal that he wouldn't remember."Oh yeah, I did say it. Well then, what are we doing here? Let's go in the back yard!""Hai!"•••••••Arriving at the backyard, Scar brought to wooden swords with him and gave one to Jin."What's this?""Can't you tell?
