Chapter 9: Harmless Poison

Elemental stones are stones consist of a certain type of pure magical power. These stones come from a variety of elemental power. The basic type of elements would be fire, wind, water, earth, lightning, and nature. Each one holds a certain amount of power that generates with the wielder's mana. If an element undergoes stages which they could either mix with another element or foreign non-elements bonds with this element, they would turn into a new type of element, the secondary element.

The secondary element consists of poison, blood, magma, storm, ember, steel, etc.

There are also elements that get their power from entirely different sources that doesn't connect with the first or the secondary element. They are called the Special element.

From the name itself, the special element has unique traits. Unlike the first element, the special element could turn either very pure or very corrupt and each one of them holds a strong power that could trample or bring fortune to any kingdom it portrays to. They consist of light, dark, sun, moon, mirror, mind, time, power, soul, space, and reality.

•••••••••

"Hohoho! Lucky me!"

An etched in his face shows his greediness as he grab hold of the poison stone. Though nature and poison has the same color, they can be defined by their brightness. If the purity of the natural stone is high, it would glow brightly while the poison stone would do the exact opposite thing, the glow would be more vivid and dark.

"Since it's an element, it should work on Dainsleif right?"

He checks Dainsleif's handle. From the middle, there was an empty socket that was the exact size of the poison stone. Doubtlessly, he place the poison stone to the empty socket. A green glow began to emit in the empty socket locking the poison stone into it.

Wuoooong!

A wavering sound echoed in the stone. The sharp edges of Dainsleif turned green and a window interface popped up in Jin's view.

"Yooosh! Ikuzo!"

Now Jin was satisfied with the ridiculous growth Dainsleif has gone to. The next thing he wanted to do is go first to the remaining level 1-15 hunting grounds to clear it.

He also wanted to check how strong he has gotten and to also try and use the skills he had just accumulated.

Arriving at his first destination, Jin proceeds to do the "speedrun". Every monster he encounters was slashed by his sword resulting in an inevitable death. Even a slight graze with the blade instantly killed the strongest monsters in the hunting ground not only due to the level gap, but also the heavy damage he could deal with the sword alone was already tremendous.

Even if the monsters here could move freely, they'd still meet the death that awaits them.

Not 5 minutes passed, Jin finally met the boss. The monster was a Lindworm.

Similar with the salamander. It was a wingless serpentine monster that had claws from its upper body. Its level was only 15 so nonetheless, it was killed by one blow.

Ting!

You have slain a Lindworm!

+1,000,000 XP

Hidden Rewards:

+5% XP

That was it, it didn't give any special rewards, just experience. Although Kris was not disappointed, he accepted reality as it is. We must accept the small things given to us and always look at the bright side.

"Still it gave me 5% experience, not bad at all."

Frankly, Jin returned back to the entrance. He escaped safely from the deletion of the hunting ground.

He continued with his pursuit. He entered all the level 1-15 hunting grounds in this kingdom finishing it in just half an hour. His experience rose by 67% almost reaching level 32.

The hidden bosses where different types of lindworms and salamander that gave mostly experience points and some items. Only one of the items was C-ranked so Jin let Dainsleif consume it as it was of no use to him, even if it was, he'd still let the Dainsleif consume it as his plan was to make Dainsleif his main weapon throughout his time in this world.

If he luckily encountered another Magic Sword, he might also reconsider using it to try and check its prowess and which he will pertain between the other sword.

••••••

Jin's next destination was the levels 20 and 30 whereas he could show off the true potential of Dainsleif.

But before that, he had to check his status.

Ting!

"Jeez! I forgot to distribute my status points! Oh well, put 60 points to strength, and 30 points each to agility, vitality, and intelligence."

"Oh! I feel enlightened!"

A light covered his body temporarily, he became stronger and more powerful like he could take on a hundred mid-tier bosses together.

He was now confident on taking on the remaining level 20 bosses. As he dash through the path, he darted like a swift wind leaving trails of dust in the way.

Arriving at the level 25 hunting ground. He was met with the window interface after entering the gate.

Ting!

YOU HAVE ENTERED SHROOM TERRACE!

Level 25-30 hunting ground.

"Let's hurry to the first corner."

Jin didn't mind the window interface and continue to dart down on the terrain and quickly arrive at the first corner of the barrier.

Though the terrain was double the size of Gaia's Canyon, Jin was still fast enough to arrive at the edge of the map.

By proceeding with "speedrun". He continued to dash to the terrain which he encountered giant insect type monsters. Fortunately, the monsters were easy enough to be killed by Dainsleif and just 2 hours of time, he had exterminated all the monsters and bosses and had also discovered the entirety of the map.

The result gave him 2 levels, 20 different types of items: 5 C-ranked items, 8 D-ranked items, and 7 E and Frank items which eventually he threw them away.

But something was quite off.

"Why are there no window interface popping?"
