A Night Prayer

Sebastian woke up to see Jake staring out the window, watching the sunrise. He had a cup of coffee in one hand and his eyes were fixed on the clouds. As scary as the sight was, it was also calming. He could see that the young ma was lost in thoughts, probably wondering how he was going to play the role of a vengeful young man.

He sighed as he adjusted himself on his bed. He had been scared of going home last night but he wasn't scared for himself, he wasn't scared that he may finally run mad living alone in such a huge house that has seen two painful death. No, he was scared for Jake. Scared that he may end up doing the same thing his son did. They had the same symptoms. Abstinence from life and everything in it. It wouldn't be long before Jake would start debating suicide and he knew that the only way to stop it was for him to be available during such difficult times.
