Chapter sixteen

"Hold it right there!"

Amanda sighed as she turned to see Laura walking up to her.

"You thought you could get rid of me. Not so easy, darling."

"Laura, I need to go pick Cassidy up and I'm going to be late."

"Good. My house isn't far from her school."

Amanda knew that she couldn't get out of having this conversation with her. So she just watched as she climbed into her front seat.

"So tell me everything that happened."

She wasn't sure she was ready to talk about how he flirted with her and how she hasn't been the first one to receive such treatment from him. But most of all, she wasn't prepared to admit that she liked it.
