Sebastian could understand his plight. The man feared the one thing every young man feared, being alone, he couldn't blame him for that. Could only sympathize with him while welcoming him to the club. The feeling could be crippling, it could damn one for all eternity.

"Okay, I understand now," Sebastian said. "You can rest here, I will go make us something to eat."

"Thank you. But where is your wife? I want to say hello to her."

"You don't know?" Sebastian asked. And then realized how stupid the question was. How could the young man know, he wasn't with him all the time. He didn't witness the accident that took his wife's life. He didn't watch as his only son lost his mind, thinking that he killed his mother, and finally committed suicide in his room. He didn't know all that, to Jake, he was just the annoying man that his aunt entrusted him to.
