Jake walked into the court room and decided to wait there for the judge to come back. He didn't want to stay outside and wait for Ivy to say all the rubbish she had to. Amanda was waiting for him when he got back to the hospital. It felt like she had purposely not allowed sleep to wash over her because immediately she saw him her eyes were wide open. He tried to keep his doubt at the back of his mind as he watched Amanda struggle to stand up and greet him. Before Jake could say another thing, the doctor walked in and he was more than grateful for the distraction. He was sure of comforting her but when it came to him and Amanda, everything always ended differently from how he imagined it. The doctor left before Jake could ask him any other questions. The last thing he said was that Jake should sort out the bill at the counter before he left. As soon as he left, the dark cloud in the room lifted and Amanda's body slowly went back to its normal temperature. It didn't take them long to sort out the bill at the counter. The bill wasn't as expensive as Jake had thought that it would be and Amanda was happy that Jake could at least take care of the bills.
