His Aunt's Wish

Chris walked out with his head hanging low. He was at risk of losing his job and Jake had made it perfectly clear that he didn't like him at all. Neither did he want him to be working for his company. It was his fault and no one else's. He was the one who behaved like a shitty person in the midst of everything. Jake knew the guilt that was eating him up and he loved it earnestly. He was finally getting his revenge on people.

"That wasn't nice, you know that right?" Sebastian said when Chris left.

"What he did to me wasn't nice either but you don't see me complaining, do you?"

"You don't really have to complain you know. If you took up your position in this company as I told you to, all these wouldn't have happened."

"Well, I think I just might," Jake said and settled himself onto a chair. His sentence caught Sebastian by surprise and he scanned his face, hoping to see signs that will indicate that he was joking. He, unfortunately, found none.
