Chapter-8 I Will Not Fade

To observe what was going on, he made a little attempt to open the door, and there was Kahina's parents' spacious room. He turned to see Kahina talking with her stepmother about getting married, but it was pointless since the woman continued to say no.

“You have to get married with your cousin!” her stepmother yelled.

“No! I want someone that I love.” Kahina was upset when she replied.

“Go to you room now, your father will not be happy with that.” Her stepmother asked.

When Kahina left the room weeping, she saw that John was staring at her. She didn't say anything; she just left.

That night, John couldn't sleep because he kept thinking about Kahina and how difficult her life is. He believed that since he had also had a difficult life, he could relate to the darkness in her life.

After that strange night, John met Mr. Brawn the following morning, who informed him that he would take care of his self-defense training and that his father had advised working with a specialized trainer.

However, Mr. Brawn first noticed that John needed to become proficient with a firearm.

John found it quite difficult to pick up a pistol or learn how to shoot, but Mr. Brawn was very determined and smart to figure out a method to achieve it.

He questioned John about his history of murder.

“Not yet.” John said to Mr. Brawn.

Mr. Brawn responded with a hearty chuckle, saying that his grandma is mostly to blame for making him so frail.

John has to develop his killing skills in order to become a strong leader.

If John doesn't have any issues, he claimed he would remain his pupil and that he wants to stay here.

John realized that someone was observing him from the large window of the castle when Mr. Brawn was teaching him how to shoot. It was immediately obvious who it was.

He attempted to focus his eyes there, but it was impossible since the sunlight made it impossible to see.

Actually, Kahina was the one observing him from the window; she lacked the bravery to come forward, but she instantly took a like to John.

John suffers an injury while practicing with Mr. Brawn and on stage. He was brought to the doctor's chamber within the castle, where the doctor ordered him to spend the night under observation despite the injury not being particularly serious.

There was a voice and a figure strolling down the hallway at midnight while no one else was in the room except John.

Suddenly, Kahina, that stunning woman, emerged and questioned John in a quiet voice, "Who's there?" She was so concerned about him when she saw him wounded and wanted to make sure he was well.

She was so near to him when John asked her why she cares for him.

No responses.

When she suddenly tried to kiss him, John stopped her and grabbed her head with both hands. He wanted more from her, but Kahina backed away and immediately left the room after saying "sorry."

The finest medication John had that night been his inability to accept Kahina's love for him.

He felt asleep thinking about her since he was so exhausted and delighted because of her, but it occurred what no one would have imagined was possible.

John had a dream throughout the night that he was in prison and Kahina and Jennifer were outside laughing at him.

He had a brief but vivid dream that was enough to jolt him up. He gasped for air and called for a doctor as he felt a weight on his chest.

When the doctor arrived, he advised him not to be alarmed since the feeling will pass.

John was torn between the affections Kahina offered him and the dream and the intuition he received; he was unable to forget what he dreamt of the previous night.

He was certain that Kahina would betray him like Jennifer had Steven, and he didn't want to behave foolishly once again.

John contacted his father the next morning and begged to return home.

His father demanded that he remain for the training, but john didn't want to, so his father approved his request for him to return and informed him that he would bring a new trainer for him.

Mr. Brawn made vain attempts to keep John with him. John received a message on his phone from Kahina as he prepared to leave the home.

What she revealed to Jon startled him. She was bold enough to tell him that she liked him, but she knows that she would never fall in love since it is just not in her nature.

For this reason, she was unsurprised to learn that he would depart after what occurred last night.

For a long, John didn't realize that Kahina wasn't at all like Jennifer; instead, he assumed that all women were the same, that he shouldn't use his heart again, and that having sex was simple to arrange.

After leaving the house and traveling quickly to the airport, John arrived at his father's house.

He detailed everything, including how the training went and how he sustained his injury.

If he had ever met Kahina, his father had inquired.

John inquired how he knew her in his surprised reply.

Since Kahina had a difficult existence in the castle, his father informed him that she is a remarkable girl.

John was quite interested in learning more about her.

Kahina spent several years living with her stepmother, her two stepsisters, and herself. She came from a royal family on both her father's and her mother's sides, but once her mother passed away and her stepmother moved in, she had a difficult time.

When her father was away on a mission outside the nation, her stepmother, a very haughty lady, used to treat her like a dog.

Why didn't her father intervene and rescue his daughter, John questioned.

The father of John said, "He didn't want to shatter the hearts of his two other daughters.

John encouraged him to keep talking about her narrative since his father saw how intrigued he was by it.

He told him straight out that he could see how in love with Kahina he was.

When John said he wasn't, his father laughed and told him he was going to make him meet her since he wanted to marry her.

She is a wealthy, attractive lady from a royal family, much like John, who will soon become the new mafia king due to his increasing wealth. His father marries a wealthy lady similar to her because he believes he must be her spouse.

John wasn't on board with the concept since he no longer trusted women. His father attempted to explain, but it was ineffective, so he said nothing and let fate decide.

On the other side, Kahina was sobbing in her chamber because she was feeling lonely as usual. She used to be the only family member to be alone.

She was hoping that the sincere and charming person who enters her life would have the key that will allow it to thaw, regardless how gloomy the large castle was, how the flowers had faded, the tears had dried, the sky had become black, and the cold had frozen my broken heart.

She had faith that the right person would come along and save her from the darkness one day, but if they didn't, she would perish forever in the fires of retaliation and hatred.
