"Run…" Blaze said weakly. He leaned back on the chamber wall with his eyes closed. The hulk had accepted his punishment. The freaks would eventually drain him of all fluids, and he'll die a dry husk. Pan, Jackie, and Cory went through the next door to find themselves in a dark tunnel. The fog had thinned, and the temperature was warmer. The group walked silently, their bare feet pattering on the wet floor. About a hundred feet away, light shone at the end of the tunnel. High on a mountain peak, a man sat under an ancient elder tree in deep meditation. His eyes were shut and an onlooker would think he was no longer alive.
