Second trip

In the evening I met with several of my companions to start the mission, it was not as exciting as the first time we traveled, but I was happy. As I was no longer my brother. The one who inherited the captaincy of the ship was Arturo, I felt that he was very affected with the loss of my brother. I did not see him as energetic as before, he was no longer as socially active.

Almost everyone from the previous trip was there; they had already taken precautions so that something like that would not happen again. Arturo himself had taken care of that.

Lucia was also with us, but we didn't talk to each other in front of the others, we only had recreational sex, so I didn't mind showing her affection, but I got jealous when someone got too close to her, I tried not to show a face of annoyance, I wasn't possessive with her.

I just stayed with the rest of my male companions as we took off. Arturo scratched his head, almost pulling some of his blond hair out, and looked at me with those blue eyes with some concern.

"I guess I didn't give a role to you, just help Lucia and that's it."

I wasn't pleased to hear it, this would make me break the deal I made with her, but I couldn't refuse. We had both promised that we wouldn't be talking too long in front of other people, and we would try to distance ourselves from others. No one was to suspect us

"Yes captain" I replied in a light tone.

I immediately went to look for her, in that lonely hallway. I was not sure which was the room where she slept with other girls, and I knocked several times on a metal door that had a light on. It was visible from the bottom of the door. Until someone opened it for me.

"What's wrong?"

"I was told to help you, it was the mission I was given."

"Ah... Ok, it's cleaning, we have to keep the hallway and clean keep others from messing up the ship while we're here."

"I see."

I felt like an employee, I would have preferred another kind of mission, but I was just a subordinate.

"Ok then, I'll look for you tomorrow."

She nodded, and I headed to the boys' room to rest. However, the atmosphere was somewhat complicated.

I was touching with three roommates, in one type of room, with two cabins, but among my roommates was Jhon who luckily was in a cabin with another cadet, so I wouldn't be close to him. It was annoying, I was unlucky, I was with one of the worst cadets. He was the person I wanted to avoid the most, I felt that everything had been planned to annoy me the whole trip.

I just lay down on the bottom bed of the cabin, but he spoke to me in front of the two cadets.

"Now you think you're one of us, you fucking first level cadet."

I didn't answer him, but he got up from his bed and spoke to me.

"You're just like Miguel's dead dog, they said he was the best in the academy when he entered, but he died for being an asshole."

Nothing he said to me affected me much, I knew how to avoid him at that moment. I just ignored that jerk, but that wasn't enough to get him to leave me alone.

He threw a kick at my face, but I stopped it with my hand, grabbed him hard and spoke to him.

"What the hell is wrong with you fucker?"

"You finally get mad. You know why I hate you, and it was time for revenge."

He was still angry because it was my fault he broke up with Lucia, and she would never go back to him again.

"You're an asshole, but if you want to fight I'm ready, then don't go crying to the lieutenants."

"It'll be someone else crying."

He lunged at me and punched me in the face pretty hard, I almost fell to the ground, but I was able to stay on my feet and answered him with the same intensity. Twice I punched him in the face, I could see his face red, and his eyes dazed from the blow. One of the cadets came out to get help. The situation had become somewhat violent, by that time neither of us wanted to lose and everything would become more violent.

Jhon tried to pull himself together. He grabbed his face, showing obvious signs of pain, and from one moment to the next he tried to hit me and threw me against the wall and started throwing punches like crazy. I hit my head at that moment and was stunned.

At that moment the cadet arrived with other people, and they tried to separate us, both of us. Jhon lulled my face in the process, and they took him out of the room.

Arturo was one of the cadets who came into the room and grabbed my hand to prevent the situation from getting worse. 

"What happened, why are they fighting?" I ask. 

"He started it, he's crazy!"

"Jhon wouldn't hit someone because he felt like it. Tell me what happened?"

"He's mad because I'm here with you" I said to try to defend myself.

Arturo sighed and looked at me seriously.

"I don't want conflict on this ship, especially between team members. We will work this out, but for now I need you to calm down and keep your composure. I don't want any more fights."

I nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation and the discomfort this would generate in the group.

"I'm sorry, captain. It won't happen again."

Arturo patted me on the shoulder.

"I hope it will. He will be taken to another room to rest, we will talk more about this tomorrow."

He left the room, and I was left with my head full of thoughts. This mission was off to a complicated start, but I had to stay focused and not let distractions get to me.

Eight hours later, we were both called to clear up the fight. In a room with a few chairs and overlooking the space. Not all the cadets were there. A group of them ran the ship, only those of us doing unproductive work were there, but Jhon was mad and started talking.

"The fight was simply about Nick cheating on all the missions and harassing Lucia, that's all."

Everyone looked at me somewhat confused, no one could process the words he just said, no one knew what would happen.

I remained silent as Jhon continued to throw out baseless accusations. It was obvious that he was trying to twist the facts to his advantage and put me in an awkward position in front of the others. However, I was confident that Arturo and the other cadets would know how to discern the truth.

Arturo took the floor and turned his gaze to Jhon earnestly.

"Jhon, your accusations are serious, the academy does not tolerate that sort of thing. Nick could be expelled and if your accusations are not backed up by any evidence, don't go through with this. Nick has proven himself to be a valuable member of the team, and I have no reason to believe that to be true. You know this can affect you as well. We need to put these problems behind us and focus on the mission we were assigned."

Jhon looked frustrated and defiant at Arthur's response. However, the rest of the cadets remained silent, aware of the gravity of the situation and the need to resolve it in the best way possible.

After a brief moment of tension, Arturo continued speaking in a calmer tone.

"Jhon, I understand that you feel upset about Nick that there were problems you two, but I urge you that we resolve this in a mature and professional manner. As the leader of this mission, I cannot allow internal conflicts to jeopardize our safety and the success of our mission. For now, you will be assigned to a separate room and I ask that you take some time to reflect on your actions."

Jhon shot a defiant look at Arthur before leaving the room. The tension in the atmosphere eased slightly, but there was still work to be done to restore harmony in the team.

Arturo walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Nick, I'm sorry you had to go through this situation. I'm sure Jhon is going through a difficult time, but we can't let his personal problems affect our mission. I just hope what Jhon says isn't true, and you didn't do any of it. Lucia is the leader of the cadets, you are aware of what will happen to you if it is true. I'm going to talk to her and ask her."

I internally thanked Arturo for his words and nodded with determination. Although deep down, I knew that what Jhon said was true. He had no proof to say something so stupid. I didn't understand how he came up with that, although I came to imagine that he had that way because I went to see her in the girls' room.
