Arranged Marriage

"Y-Yes your Majesty! Several people are trying to kill the Hero Orion to facilitate a union between the Princess and another Hero..."

'What... ?'

Aura was horrified upon hearing that they were planning to kill Orion.

She was really getting dizzy from that.

Growing up on Earth, such reasons to kill someone were really absurd for her. She was getting angry just by listening to their conversation.

"How many in the court have the same opinion about the Hero Orion ?"

Helio asked in a serious tone.

"M-More than three-quarters, your Majesty..."

The Emperor was surprised by that.

"How do you even get that idea of union ?"

Helio asked with a frown.

"T-That's...Hero Andrew was recommending an imperial marriage as a means to erase the Empire's fear against the Ankouna Empire..."

"Lord Andrew did... ?"

"Yes, your Majesty."

Helio thought that it was indeed a great idea to erase the fear of the Solaria Empire, but he was surprised that Andrew didn't come directly to him to propose that.

Shaking his head, he spoke to the two men.

"I will talk to my daughter about that but nobody will touch the Hero Orion. Tell that to them. Understood ?"

The Emperor asked in a cold tone, sending shivers to the men.

""Yes, your Majesty!""

At the end of the discussion, Aura immediately turned around to head back to her room.

She didn't want to get fresh hair anymore but just to get some sleep.

She got sick after hearing that.

Aura knew she had to get used to this world, but it was taking longer than she thought.

The only good news was that she didn't have to worry about Orion thanks to the Emperor's warning.

Aura quickly entered her room and closed the door behind her.

Thud!

"Fiuuu...." Then she took a deep breath to calm her mind.

"Aura ?"

Aura raised her head and saw Maeva looking at her. Next to her was Noemi.

"Oh, you finished training ?"

Aura asked them. Noemi and Maeva wanted to train so she left them an hour ago.

"Yeah...Are you alright, Aura ?"

Noemi asked, seeing the slightly pale face of Aura.

"A-Ah yeah, it's just I want to go back to Earth..."

Aura stuttered a little.

She didn't want to burden them with what she heard. Moreover, the problem would be solved by the Emperor.

"Are you thinking about Steve ?"

Maeva suddenly asked.

"W-what...?"

Aura let out, confused.

"He is your crush on Earth, right ? You must miss him..."

Noemi also joined the conversation.

Aura nodded shyly.

"Y-Yeah but he is on Earth and I'm here..."

Steve had been Aura's crush since childhood, but they didn't see each other after she moved to Paris.

She was supposed to meet him again just the day after the visit to Versailles Palace but they were ambushed then transported into this world.

"So ?" Noemi asked again slyly.

Aura pouted at her friend and replied.

"You know that if I said that I didn't miss him, it would be a lie..."

If she had to be honest with her family, he was the next person she wanted to see the most. There were also her other friends but they were on the same continent as Steve...

So she could just see them via social networks.

"Our families must be worried about us back there..."

Maeva suddenly said.

"Don't worry Maeva, we will beat this emperor, find a soul relic and get back on earth quickly!"

Aura replied to her in a cheerful tone.

Maeva and Noemi smiled at her.

""Yeah.""

"Did you call me father ?"

In the courtroom of the Solaria Palace, Liana was standing in front of her father and mother.

Since her brother wasn't there, she quickly understood that it was something to do with her.

"Lia, it has been decided that you will be married to one of the heroes," The Emperor said.

"...!"

Liana froze and opened her eyes wide.

As princess she had to be ready for such an arranged marriage and she could understand why.

But right now she was totally caught off guard.

"Who will it be...?"

Liana's expression turned stoic.

Seeing the change in his daughter, Helio sighed.

If it was up to him, he would have left the choice to Liana herself, but the timing was really that bad.

When three quarters of nobles and most of the population wished for a union between the princess and a hero from another world, there was no other choice.

The heroes were viewed as messengers of gods in the Solaria Empire, so the marriage between the royalty of their empire and a 'messenger of god' would be extremely beneficial for them.

The deep-rooted fear of the Ankouna Empire would be erased and they would gain hope.

The influence of god was just that much in the Solaria Empire.

"Three among the heroes are well liked in our empire."

The day after they were summoned, all the heroes paraded in the capital. They also showed their ability. Even their feats in rift against monsters were shared in the Empire.

All of that was to raise the spirit of the Empire.

Thanks to that, few heroes were idolized by them.

Austin, Andrew and Jordan were ones of them with Ryan behind them.

"Austin Lachman, Jordan Hawkins and Andrew Whiteford."

Helio cited the names of Liana's suitors.

Liana's body shivered slightly.

She didn't have a good impression of Jordan and Andrew.

As for Austin, she thought of him as a good man, but that didn't mean she loved him or anything. She didn't even consider him a friend.

Truthfully, she was seeing all the heroes like acquaintances, but the only one she was close to was Orion.

"I see..."

Liana nodded and turned around to leave.

She needed time to digest the news.

"Lia, there is something else I want you to do."

The Emperor stopped Liana.

"What is it, father ?"

Liana asked, thinking that it couldn't be that difficult.

"You have to stop frequenting with the hero Orion."

"What?!"
