1. A Crazed Grudge

The only thing Alice wants right now is to kill Hilda.

Yeah, kill. You heard right.

Just imagine how you feel when you're framed and humiliated by your friends in public? It's a sickening feeling that makes you feel like taking revenge on them.

Yeah, that's exactly how Alice feels right now. Hilda and Zana had set her up. They put Hilda's cell phone in Alice's bag. And after that, Alice was scorned and ridiculed by people because she was accused of stealing.

Now, all Alice could think of was revenge against them, especially Hilda. Hilda was the mastermind behind the plan. Hilda hates Alice.

Alice knew that she had made some unforgivable mistakes toward Hilda, such as lying about things and stealing expensive lipsticks from her, but Hilda and Zana's bad deeds that had humiliated Alice made her immediately spew anger so strong that it surfaced.

The resentment Alice felt was only getting bigger. Remembering how she was humiliated, she felt unable to forgive Hilda's actions.

""I'm going to kill you, Hilda. You'll see, you've done a lot of fucking things to me." Alice muttered as she put the knife into her small backpack. It would be very useful.

After feeling that everything was ready, Alice quickly left the house for her school. It was already seven o'clock in the evening. At Starlight High School, there would be a party to welcome the new principal, who was previously held by Mrs. Kelly.

And with the party being held, all students of Starlight High School were expected to come there, not to mention the teachers.

The party was sure to be very lively, everyone would certainly be there, and Alice couldn't wait to get there.

Alice walked quickly, her face looking serious. She carried a grudge that no one expected. An ingrained grudge and the desire to commit murder were churning inside her chest.

"I won't let you get away, Hilda." Alice's hands were clenched tightly and firmly. A lopsided smile played on her lips. "Just watch, you'll die by my hand. You're already playing stupid games with me."

Alice then stopped at the bus stop and waited for the bus to come. As she sat, her head kept thinking, devising crazy ideas that she would do tonight, right in the middle of the party.

Alice wanted a pool of blood splashed on Starlight High School, again.

And the only blood Alice wanted was that of Hilda, her ex-friend.

***

With a trembling body and a chaotic appearance, Hilda came out of her house. She took wide strides, almost like she was running. Her hair looked very disheveled, and her eyes looked puffy. One more thing, there were traces of tears visible on her red cheeks.

Hilda drove to Starlight High School with a pounding chest and a broken heart. She tried to stay calm and drove the car at a moderate speed.

"It's okay, I'll be fine." Hilda said to herself. She swallowed. Her mind was very frantic at the moment.

Hilda shook her head softly and tried to focus on driving. And when she finally arrived at Starlight High School, she didn't get out of the car right away. She had to improve her appearance first so as not to invite suspicion from people.

The beautiful girl wiped away tears, putting makeup on her face to cover her sadness. Then, as a final touch, she smoothed her hair to make it neat.

Hilda looked at her reflection in the mirror. She smiled as she felt that everything was under control and fine.

After that, Hilda got out of the car. Many had already come to Starlight High School, and everyone was looking forward to celebrating this party.

As she was walking, Hilda noticed that her cell phone was ringing. She looked at it and immediately picked up the call.

And someone's voice immediately greeted her. It was Zana, her friend. "Hilda, where are you? I've been waiting for you, are you still at home?"

"No, I'm already here, more precisely, I'm in the parking lot. I just arrived."

"Thank goodness, meet me right now. I'm already in the hall, near the drinks stand, come here." Zana said impatiently. She urged.

"Okay, I got it. I'm walking there now." Hilda hung up the call, put her cell phone in a small bag, and started walking quickly.

Hilda was able to meet Zana quickly. They smiled at each other and hugged briefly.

"Oh my God, look at you, you look different! You're so fucking beautiful." Hilda complimented Zana when she saw her friend's appearance.

Zana laughed. She waved her hand. "Don't praise me, I'm not as beautiful as you. Look at your face and the dress you're wearing now, it suits you perfectly. You look like a guest star on this show."

"What are you talking about? No, you're much prettier."

"Okay, I don't want to argue about this, we're both equally beautiful. Just you and me." Zana winked one of her eyes at Hilda.

Both laughed simultaneously. Hilda nodded in agreement. "Right, I like what you just said."

"Well, then take this drink." Zana said as she handed Hilda a glass filled with a soft red drink.

Of course, Hilda didn't refuse it. She accepted it happily. She drank a little, then she remembered something. "Hey, Zana."

"Yes?"

"Um, you better be honest with me, do I really look good?" Hilda asked. Then she noticed the puzzled look on Zana's face. Zana looked at Hilda with her eyes narrowed to one. Hilda hurriedly continued, correcting her sentence. "Look, what I mean is, do I look different in your eyes? I don't want to look messed up, that's all."

"No, there's nothing strange about you. You really do look beautiful. Really, I'm not lying to you. If you don't believe me, just ask other people. I'm sure they'll agree with me."

"Yeah, I don't need to do that. I believe you. Thanks." Hilda's smile surfaced again. She was happy that she had managed to cover up her not-so-good self.

Hilda looked around her, it was getting crowded. People had started to arrive. "When does the show start?"

"Probably soon, I'm sure the new headmaster has also arrived, of course he will be the one to lead this event."

Hilda nodded. "Come on, let's find a seat, I have something to tell you."

"Something like what?"

"You'll find out in a moment."

Zana did not ask any further questions. She walked after Hilda from behind. There were still many empty seats, making it easy for them to choose the ones they felt were suitable and appropriate. People preferred to stand and chat, as well as walk around to get the food and drinks that had been provided for free.

"Hey, listen to me." Hilda began when she and Zana were seated next to each other. Hilda felt that she had to tell Zana something. Zana was the only friend that Hilda trusted at the moment. Hilda was convinced. She moistened her lips before starting to speak again. "I'm actually in trouble."

Zana didn't expect that Hilda would bring her into this topic of conversation. She thought her friend would say something not like this.

Zana, who had been focused on listening, suddenly felt a little panicked. "What kind of trouble are you in? Please tell me as soon as possible, I want to know, maybe I can help you."

"That's why I need to talk to you, because I trust you, you're my only friend right now."

"Okay, I see. You're also my only closest friend. So, I really don't mind if you want to confide in me, I'll help you. I promise to listen to your story carefully."

Hilda nodded slowly. She bit her lip first before she started speaking again. She looked up, her eyes looking very serious. "Zana, I think..." She swallowed, her words caught in her throat.

Zana grasped Hilda's hand tightly. "Hey, it's okay. I'm here, you still have me, and you're not alone. Tell me, what problem do you have? Let's find a way out together. I will help you."

Hilda lowered her gaze. Her voice turned hoarse as she began to speak. "I think, I will die soon."

Those were words that Zana did not expect from Hilda.
