`Western Continent:  Holy Kingdom of Yara, Capital city`

Pope Arkia was deep in prayer, the soft glow of candlelight flickering around him, when a junior entered the room. The young man hesitated, unsure whether to disturb the pope's solemn concentration, but ultimately decided that the news he bore was too important to keep to himself.

"Your Holiness," he began, his voice barely above a whisper. "There is news from the Eastern continent."

Arkia's eyes remained closed as he continued to murmur his prayers. "I do not concern myself with the problems of such lowly, underdeveloped regions," he replied dismissively.

The junior's brow furrowed with concern, but he held his tongue. Instead, he turned and left the room, his heart heavy with the weight of the news he carried.
