Chapter 26

"This sucks." Andrew mumbled as he and everyone else trudged through the highway.

Now that they had lost the truck, the task of travelling had become many times more difficult.

Initially, even with their change of route, the journey would have taken them five days max. But now that the truck was gone, Dina estimated that they'd need at least two weeks. And he wasn't sure the supplies they had stocked up would be enough to last them for that long.

Moreover, moving on foot meant that they would have to expend a lot more energy, and as a result, they'd have to eat and drink more water.

Also, to avoid the kids slowing them down, Andrew and Dina had to carry them. Philip couldn't as he was already carrying all their supplies, and there was no more space on his body.

Andrew looked at Philip and felt a tinge of indignation. Couldn't he have led the guy away from the truck?

'Nah, from how he described the fight, it would be a miracle if he could think of something like that at that point in
