Chapter 73

Back at their base, the two companions had come together to make sense of what had happened earlier.

They both sat in the room they were sleeping in and ate cans of food in silence before Christopher finally broke the silence.

“I honestly did not know I could do that by the way.” He said as he scrapped the remaining contents of the can.

“Yeah, I would have thought as much. Ha ha ha.” Franklin laughed, trying to ease the atmosphere.

Christopher should have died after what happened. He got plastered face down into the ground, of course his head should have exploded like a wet tomato.

But it didn’t. Instead he got up after taking such a fatal hit and killing the infected with his bare hands. They usually struggled to kill them even with the weapons they had but he simply choked the thing to death.
