I laughed and jerked my head to the door, “Better hurry. She’s an impatient one.”
She nodded and swung her legs over the casket. She jumped down with ease. It's funny how strong she was regardless of the fact that she was just raised from the dead a few minutes ago.
I walked towards the door, with Blondie following me.
“What’s your name?” She asked me.
“Derrick, you?”
“Elizabeth. What’s your mate's name?” She asked, smiling.
“Elsa.” I said dreamily.
“I didn’t even know healers still existed.” She stated thoughtfully.
“Neither did I. She always surprises me.” I chuckled.
“She seems like a lovely young lady.”
“She’s the best.”
“You’re going to regret that.” He sneered.“And what are you going to do?” I smirked. He glared one more time before he turned into a big black wolf, then he turned around and ran into the forest.“Pussy!” I yelled climbing back onto Ben’s back, “Giddy up!” I yelled, slapping his butt.He flinched, “Stop doing that!”I did it again, “Nope. Now take me home.” I rested my head on his shoulder.“Hey! Elsa!” Someone yelled, I turned my head around and came almost face to face with Elizabeth.“Yes?” I asked politely.“Thank you. For everything.” She smiled kindly.“No problem. Bring my baby to see me when she’s born. Okay?” I smiled in return.Sh
“Awww! Don’t be embarrassed.” I pinched his cheeks. Everybody laughed as he got even redder.“Hey, don't feel bad, some girls hit puberty when they’re 10 or 11.” I shrugged, leaning onto his side. They nodded in agreement, then we pulled into Lorraine’s driveway.“Cookies!” I yelled excitedly, flinging the back door open.“Elsa!” They groaned behind me.I ignored them and frantically knocked on the door.Lorraine opened the door and sighed in relief, “Is everybody okay?”“Yup! Do you have more vanilla cookies?” I asked with wide eyes.“No, sorry, hon’. I have sugar cookies.” She offered with a smile. My shoulders slumped, “Thanks but no. Sugar cookies are nasty.”
Derrick’s POVI heard Elsa’s breaths get lighter and I just knew she was asleep. She deserved some rest after what she'd done.“Did anything happen to her?” I asked, looking up at Benjamin.I didn't ask her because she wouldn't have told me anything but Benjamin would tell me everything.“What do you mean? She’s fine.” He replied confusedly.“Did she get hurt in any way?” I inquired. He hesitated before saying, “Uh– Nope, not at all!” I didn't need a seer or visionary to tell me that was a terrible lie.“You’re a horrible liar.” I replied coldly. He coughed and I saw his hands tighten around Aliyah. “N-no, she didn’t get h-hurt.”“Just tell me.” I said exasperatedly.
Elsa‘s POVI woke up and looked over at the clock. It read 12:07 pm.I yawned and carefully removed Derrick’s arms from around my waist.Standing up, I stretched and walked over to Derrick’s side of the bed. I picked up his phone and silently creeped out the door. I cautiously walked down the stairs and out the back door.I sat beside the pool, my feet dangling in it. I knew the password so I put it in and when it opened, I heaved a sigh of relief. I immediately started dialing the number I memorized ages ago‘Please don’t be home. Please don’t be home.’ I chanted in my head.“Hello?” Asked a deep familiar voice.I sighed in relief, “Kyle?”“Who’s this?” My foster brother asked confusedly.“Wow! You for
“Thank you.” Derrick chuckled nervously as he looked at the still glaring Rick and Kyle.“Go pack your things.” I said to the girls. They nodded excitedly and ran down the hall.“Rick, Ky, leave him alone.” I sighed, walking up to Derrick. Jimmy released him and ran off to his room to pack up.“What’s your purpose for being with my big sister?” Rick inquired suspiciously.“To…marry her.” Derrick said slowly as he wrapped his arm around my waist. They watched Derrick's every movement suspiciously with slits for eyes. And then all of a sudden, they shrugged casually.“Cool with me.” Ky shrugged.“Yeah, that's fine by me too.” Rick nodded.“Go pack.” I said nodding towards the hallway which Jimmy ran through a min
“What did you do?!” Ky screamed in horror.I looked up instantly, “I was looking for vanilla cookies?” I chuckled sheepishly.“The kitchen is thrashed!” Rick yelled at meI rolled my eyes, “I see that.”“I told you we didn’t have any cookies!” Talia screeched.“And I told you I had to stay hopeful.” I retorted, jumping off the counter.“Seriously?! How do you deal with her?” Rick asked Derrick with wide eyes.Derrick shook his head, “I really don’t know.”I flounced up to him and kissed him hard on the lips, “Because you love me.”He smiled at me lustfully, “I do. Still don’t know how I put up with you but, eh.” I grinned up at him before raiding the cabinets ag
“Fine!” He huffed, “I’m sorry- that you’re a cookie thief.” He said quickly as he ran away from me like a mad man. I sighed, “Sorry.” The man nodded and quickly walked away from Derrick and I. I shrugged and started looking for the cookies when I heard a familiar voice sneer, “Hey, bitch.” I smirked and turned around, “Megan, long time no see. What's up?!” I remembered her. The girl from the other day we played soccer who thought Bibi was my child and made a fuss out of it by being an unstoppable Karen. She rolled her eyes and smiled seductively at Derrick, “Hey, sexy.” I started to walk away when Derrick pulled me back and whispered, “You leave me alone with her and I’ll kill her.” in my ear. I nodded and wrapped my arm around his waist, “How’ve you been, Meggy?” “Shut up! You’r
“Would you prefer it if I took away your powers?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. The boy smiled hopefully, “Please do. Then I can leave!” I gave him a weird look before releasing Megan’s power off of him. “You can leave now.” I told him. He looked up at me in shock, “Her powers are gone?” “No. They’re off of you.” I said turning around. I heard footsteps running down the aisle and I knew the boy was gone. “Who the hell do you think you are?!” Megan screeched. “Elsa, I told you the other day.” I said, grabbing Derrick’s hand, “Let’s go.” I looked up at him. He nodded and we walked away from the fuming Megan. “Where are the kids?” Derrick asked. Suddenly I heard a loud squeal. “Jimmy.” I sighed and we st
