Derrick’s POV

I heard Elsa’s breaths get lighter and I just knew she was asleep. She deserved some rest after what she'd done.

“Did anything happen to her?” I asked, looking up at Benjamin.

I didn't ask her because she wouldn't have told me anything but Benjamin would tell me everything.

“What do you mean? She’s fine.” He replied confusedly.

“Did she get hurt in any way?” I inquired.

He hesitated before saying, “Uh– Nope, not at all!” I didn't need a seer or visionary to tell me that was a terrible lie.

“You’re a horrible liar.” I replied coldly.

He coughed and I saw his hands tighten around Aliyah. “N-no, she didn’t get h-hurt.”

“Just tell me.” I said exasperatedly.

It read 12:07 pm.I yawned and carefully removed Derrick’s arms from around my waist.Standing up, I stretched and walked over to Derrick’s side of the bed. I picked up his phone and silently creeped out the door. I cautiously walked down the stairs and out the back door.I sat beside the pool, my feet dangling in it. I knew the password so I put it in and when it opened, I heaved a sigh of relief. I immediately started dialing the number I memorized ages ago‘Please don’t be home. Please don’t be home.’ I chanted in my head.“Hello?” Asked a deep familiar voice.I sighed in relief, “Kyle?”“Who’s this?” My foster brother asked confusedly.“Wow! You for

“Thank you.” Derrick chuckled nervously as he looked at the still glaring Rick and Kyle.“Go pack your things.” I said to the girls. They nodded excitedly and ran down the hall.“Rick, Ky, leave him alone.” I sighed, walking up to Derrick. Jimmy released him and ran off to his room to pack up.“What’s your purpose for being with my big sister?” Rick inquired suspiciously.“To…marry her.” Derrick said slowly as he wrapped his arm around my waist. They watched Derrick's every movement suspiciously with slits for eyes. And then all of a sudden, they shrugged casually.“Cool with me.” Ky shrugged.“Yeah, that's fine by me too.” Rick nodded.“Go pack.” I said nodding towards the hallway which Jimmy ran through a min

“Fine!” He huffed, “I’m sorry- that you’re a cookie thief.” He said quickly as he ran away from me like a mad man. I sighed, “Sorry.” The man nodded and quickly walked away from Derrick and I. I shrugged and started looking for the cookies when I heard a familiar voice sneer, “Hey, bitch.” I smirked and turned around, “Megan, long time no see. What's up?!” I remembered her. The girl from the other day we played soccer who thought Bibi was my child and made a fuss out of it by being an unstoppable Karen. She rolled her eyes and smiled seductively at Derrick, “Hey, sexy.” I started to walk away when Derrick pulled me back and whispered, “You leave me alone with her and I’ll kill her.” in my ear. I nodded and wrapped my arm around his waist, “How’ve you been, Meggy?” “Shut up! You’r

He looked up at me in shock, “Her powers are gone?” “No. They’re off of you.” I said turning around. I heard footsteps running down the aisle and I knew the boy was gone. “Who the hell do you think you are?!” Megan screeched. “Elsa, I told you the other day.” I said, grabbing Derrick’s hand, “Let’s go.” I looked up at him. He nodded and we walked away from the fuming Megan. “Where are the kids?” Derrick asked. Suddenly I heard a loud squeal. “Jimmy.” I sighed and we st

“Who of her what?” Derrick asked with slight amusement all over his face. He thinks this is funny? If it turns out that he's truly the dad, I’ll show him funny. He doesn't want to mess with me right now; he better not. “I’m pregnant. You’re the dad.” Melissa rolled her eyes as she wrapped her arm around Derrick’s waist I stared at her in shock, “Who the hell do you think you are?” I was just going to stand aside and watch how the whole thing would have played out but seeing her wrap her hands around his waist, my mate instincts were activated; I was furious. Generally, I wasn't one to get jealous over random, unimportant and petty things like other girls talking to my man but other girls touching my man inappropriately was a no-go for me. She had no rights whatsoever to be in the same room as him, talk more about touching him. “The mother of his c

We all walked into the house and I noticed that all the others were gone. “Where’s the rest of the pack?” I asked. “I told them they could go home. Until…yeah.” Derrick said awkwardly. “Until what?” I asked confusedly. “Until…yeah.” He said again before practically running down the hall. I frowned, “That was…very weird. More weird than Jimmy.” “Thank you! I love you!”” I heard Jimmy yell from the kitchen. I turned to Derrick, “Until what?” “Huh? What? Nothing.” He smiled before quickly walking into the kitchen. What the hell? They're hiding something, what could it be? “What’s going on?!” I yelled, throwing my arms in the air. “He sent them home until you and Derrick finish the mating bond.” Ben said casually as he walked into the kit

“Too bad.” He retorted, smirking. “I wanna go home!” I bellowed in his ear. He looked at me, “I came prepared. Domino put a spell on me. You can’t hurt me. Not even your annoying scream.” I punched him in the face and he groaned, “Liar.” Tyrell cradled his cheek, “I was bluffing! You didn’t have to do that!” “Yes, I did.” I insisted, nodding my head innocently. He rolled his eyes, “I can’t feel the left side of my face.” I laughed, “Accomplishment is great!” Tyrell ignored that and resumed texting. “Are you texting your secret boyfriend?” I whispered. That’s why! I’m sore as hell and I'm going to take a hot bath.” “I’ll join.” He smirked and got up. I narrowed my eyes at him and walked into the bathroom. Arms wrapped around my bare waist and pulled me against a very, very familiar fleshy chest. His hand slowly caressed my waist and found its way down to my crotch and I flinched and moved further away from him while he chuckled. “No.” I scolded, poking his nose slightly. I turned around and started the bath, putting lot

I decided to voice my thoughts, “What the hell is wrong with you?! It’s mine!” “I touched it first!” She glared. “I looked at it first!” I retorted, biting her hand again. “Stop biting me, freak!” She winced. “I’m not a freak!” If looks could kill, she'd be six feet under by now. Suddenly, it felt like I was being lifted into the air. Ali smirked as she stuffed my cookie in her mouth. “Don’t think that’ll stop me.” I growled as Ben threw me on the bed. “Calm down.” “She took my cookie!” I yelled, glaring at him. “You ate all the other ones.” He rolled his eyes in return. “S

    Chapter 75

One week. One second is enough to kill a man. Yet I've been dying for one week. Seven days. That's how long my mate had been away from me. A week. Seven days. One hundred sixty-eight hours. That’s how long Elsa had been away from me and I'd been dying slowly every single minute that passed. My wolf also keeps gnawing at me from within to get with her. Such a needy bastard. I miss my Elsa but he didn't have to keep rubbing it in my face and reminding me every minute that I messed up. It was also his fault; his neediness that made me think that female was our mate. The deadline was also fast approaching. I had just three days left until the end of the deadline. I had no idea what to do at the moment. She was definitely not going to talk to me anytime soon and there was no way in hell I was going to perso

He whimpered and turned around, walking up the stairs and out of sight. I stared after him for only God knows how long. Unmoving. “Bev?” Ben asked hesitantly. I shook my head, “I don't wanna talk about it.” “Ley-Lee Bear.” He sighed, grabbing my shoulder. I gently got out of his hold, “I’m gonna take a walk and be back later. Don’t wait up.” I walked out of the kitchen, cookies and skittles in hand. I walked out the front door, ignoring their protests and pleas for me to come back. I started walking, not even knowing where I was going. It was already late and it was really cold. I took out a cookie and started munching on it. I heard footsteps and laughter behind me. I was going to turn around but stopped when I heard them whispering about me. Three voices, all male. Not this again.

“Sorry.” She smiled sheepishly. Nodding, I stood up. “I’ll see you later.” “Where are you going?” She asked softly. So adorable. I lifted up the window, “Justin’s room.” “Bye.” She giggled. I waved and climbed out the window. Looking down, I began to get nervous. Why the hell did his room have to be on the second floor?! I growled lowly and walked over to the window next to Ben’s that happened to be Jacob’s. I knocked on the window. He jumped up, into a fighting stance and I laughed as he realized it was me and his face morphed into a glare. He came over and opened the window, “What the hell?” I pushed him and climbed through the window, shutting it after me. “Lock your door.” I ordered. “Why?” He asked, walking over to it. “So Ben ca

    Chapter 72

“Beating me wasn’t going to kill me. I can’t die.” I told him flatly, maintaining eye contact the whole time. “Yes, you can. They could’ve cut your head off or something.” He snarled. “They can’t do that! I’m under the Royals’ protection.” I laughed. “Oh…” He trailed off. I nodded, “Yeah.” We turned onto the street that the house was on and I didn’t want to go in there. Call me a coward but I did not want to see Derrick yet. He might've rejected me but even after everything, I still actually loved him. Yes. I'm actually not ashamed to say it. I loved Derrick, wholeheartedly. And even if he had betrayed me, that didn't stop me from loving him. But at that point, I didn't even want to see or hear him. We walked up the driveway and I saw the door wide open. I confusedly looked around and I saw Ben on the floor with blood on his

    Chapter 71

Elsa's POV I doubled over in pain as the wolf guy punched me in the stomach. He punched me on the right side of my face, making me lose my balance, and I fell to the floor. Then, he started kicking me. I took it all without making a sound. I wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of hearing me beg or cry and I was too exhausted to fight back. I was emotionally exhausted and it was fucking with me because there was no use fighting back the wolf guy when there was nothing for me to fight for. He repeatedly kicked me in my stomach. I heard the crack sounds before I felt my ribs breaking. I still didn’t scream. Beating me wasn’t going to kill me. My body was already healing. He dragged me up by my hair, smiling viciously. I stared back coldly. “Not even gonna ask for me to stop?” He smirked tauntingly. The only reaction I gav

    Chapter 70

“What hurts?” Ben asked with worried eyes. “E-Everything!” I writhed in pain on the couch, “I-I need to get out of here!” I yelled in pain. I looked up and saw Derrick still holding the girl's hand, looking into her eyes. More pain came through my chest, making me scream. I stood up quickly and ran out of the house, right past Derrick who didn’t even notice me leaving. I ran all the way to the park, ignoring the pain that was subsiding in my body. Sitting down on the swings, I started to cry; harder than I’ve ever cried before. That pain in my chest showed me that Derrick had found his real mate or whatever. That I was no longer his and he wasn’t mine. There was rustling in the bushes behind me. I turned around sadly and saw four pairs of red eyes glaring at me. I turned back around dismissively, “Might as well come out.” I
