Chapter 02

"You're dead, William Austin."

The man laughed weakly, and then his brow furrowed. William moved closer, but the men did not dare to see who the intruder was.

"Do not kidding me. I am late. If you're trying to be funny, you'd better get out of my house now."

"William Austin, you're dead."

And again the verdict was dropped. William was furious, he turned around and decided to call home security. By the way, his cell phone was in the living room, so he had to run out and ask the guards to drag the intruder into his room. However, unfortunately, the door to his room suddenly failed to open. It was obvious that the door was not locked.

"I am the angel of death who will take you to the spirit world." The tall figure spoke again, watching William from under the hood that partially obscured his face. When William turned around, he had already detected an ominous aura.

"Bastard! Who are you? I don't know you, so don't talk too much and get out of my house right now!"

Brak!

The nightstand next to his bed flipped over in the blink of an eye. Just as the black figure who claimed to be a grim reaper raised her hand. William was visibly shocked by what he had just seen. His legs were shaking, his hands were still trying to open the door and succeeded.

The nightstand next to his bed flipped over in the blink of an eye. Just as the black figure who claimed to be a grim reaper raised her hand. William was visibly shocked by what he had just seen. His legs were shaking, his hands were still trying to open the door and succeeded.

He ran as fast as he could to get out of his own house. How could he be dead, and who wants to listen to the strange jokes of an intruder claiming to be the angel of death. A very, very bad morning for William Austin.

“Run as far as you can, but you cannot escape your fate,” said the black figure.

The man was still running until, without realizing it, he was already standing on the porch of his house. William froze in place. He looked around and felt his chest and face. After a moment, he turned around and found that the main door of his house was still tightly closed. Suddenly his face turned pale.

"Impossible!"

William, as usual, ran to the bus stop. All this is just hallucinations, because he is too tired from work. Of course, William always works late to get the best and most exclusive news. Thanks to this, he can also get a new, higher position. William was sure he had opened the door and quickly closed it without realizing it. This all happened because he's been doing this for years, it really doesn't make sense if he can just walk in the door, right? The thought still hung in his mind.

William, as usual, chose to sit in the middle. He glanced at his watch; he would be late in fifteen minutes.

"Damn it! Because of this wild intruder, I must be late!" He said.

A few people started to fill the bus stop, so the seats were filling up. William crossed his arms over his chest to see the old woman who was about to steal his chair. He even pretended to be asleep so as not to see that lazy expression.

However, a strange thing happened again. William fell silent again, bombarded by the thousands of questions that hung in his head. The boy looked right and left, people were busy with mobile phones and newspapers in their hands. Her body seemed to be blown by the wind as the old woman sat right where she was. He seemed to be holding the woman, but William was only a thin shadow. The man was frightened, remembering just the words of the intruder.

Involuntarily his eyes flickered to the right, where the old man was reading a newspaper published by his office. There, William saw himself lying in a pool of blood. With a headline that looks bold and bright.

“The white horse is mourning. The CEO died in a fatal accident."

"Impossible!" he said incredulously.

How could he die? Why did he even have to die? He is still healthy and does not have any chronic diseases. William's thought still answers in his mind. The man was still silent, looking at the people leaving, who began to get on the bus and take him away. William looked questioningly at his hands.

'It's just a dream!'

It's still convincing.

"This is impossible! I can't die!"

The man got up and decided to go home. He must check that these are all errors. He cannot die. There is just so! William has been working hard all this time, painstakingly making his way upstairs to be in this position, and all of a sudden he just dies?

Bad joke man!

William didn't even marry a beautiful woman. No, he cannot die. But, unfortunately, he again found something amiss when he passed by the convenience store. William could clearly see people walking past through the glass wall of the mini market. However, he did not see his reflection there. Even William felt that people passed him like the wind. He is truly invisible. This fact made William even more nervous.

William hastened to run. Arriving home, without opening the door, he burst into the room. The mysterious black tall figure was still standing there.

"How could this happen?" William said breathlessly.

"I told you, you're dead, William Austin."

“B-but how could I die?” I don't have a dangerous illness, I've been working hard all this time, I'm not even married, and you're saying that I'm already dead? William laughed dryly. “It must be just a dream, right? Please tell me this is just a dream!”

He clasped his hands next to his body. His breathing was uneven and his face was already confused, and he looked at the black figure in front of him, asking for an explanation.

“Last night I just celebrated my birthday. Why should I die now? he laughed bitterly.

"I had an accident?" William laughed. Her fingers ruffled her matted black hair back.

"Impossible! I don't even remember anything. This is complete nonsense. It must be a hallucination or a nightmare, right? It's so unbelievable..."

Brak!

"Akh!" William exclaimed in pain.

The light came from the grim reaper's hand, pushing William's body until it hit the door. The boy sat there, writhing and coughing from time to time.

"Accept your fate and quickly find the cause of your death."

A second later, the light shone brightly again. This time around her left wrist was a transparent pearl bracelet with one hundred small beads wrapped around it. William was still grimacing in pain as he stared at the bracelet in his hand.

“Your time is one hundred days, starting today. Your body will remain intact like an ordinary person, but your soul will not last long. Find out the cause of your death, then I will take you to go to the spirit world. "

This time, William laughed out loud. Her eyes were still fixed on the pearl bracelet that had just curled up there. If all this is true, he really feels unfair. Everything was too unexpected and frightening to take for granted.

“You are not the angel of death, you better know how I died. Why should I find out myself? I'm still confused."

"Don't play William Austin!"

"I'm serious!" William shouted. “Who is ready to face such sudden death?”

His breathing was ragged, holding back anger and other feelings that are hard to describe. Shortness of breath and chest pain. William really couldn't fully accept the fact that he had become a wandering spirit.

"During these hundred days, I will enjoy only a short life."

“If within a hundred days you do not find your true cause of death, you will forever be stuck in this world and become a vengeful spirit. After spending a hundred days, you will take on a normal human form, but your soul cannot exist forever. So make the most of your time."

William was silent, looking down at the pearl bracelet folded in his hand. All this happened suddenly and out of nowhere. William didn't really know what to do.
