Chapter 158

Ethan took out the phone and realized it was Poltergeist calling.

Raising a brow, he wondered why she was calling him back so soon.

Perhaps to bother him but considering she did something for him it was only right he reciprocated the favor.

She had shown she was willing to take their alliance seriously and not doing so would be detrimental to him.

With that understanding, he turned to Rebecca who was waiting.

“You head in first and look around. If you see one that catches your fancy before I join you, then call my attention to it. I need to take this call.”

“Do we need to get me a cellphone?... I don't think I need one.”

“And I insist you get one.”

“Alright,” Rebecca replied, unwilling to make trouble for Ethan.

She left for the store while Ethan picked up the call.

“Yeah, I'm listening.”

“You took your sweet time.” Poltergeist teased.

Ethan let out a sigh. “Is there something up?”

“Oh my, so rude, can't I call you to check on you?”

“I doubt you have that much free time on your hands.
