He ignored the voice this time even when it was recognizable to belong to his friend. He felt it was the voice of those beasts just as the orc had told him, and adding this to what he had seen and encountered in that place, he would never turn back to answer the voice. Yet as he tended to move away, he heard the voice saying again in a more clearer way. "Don't leave me here…. Eric…. Is that not you….. I know your scent. You can not leave me here with these beasts." This time he was very confused on what to do, he could no longer resist the call for help, so he had to ask back to confirm if it was really the person he thought was calling out for his help. "Who are you?" As he asked this question, he looked around, listening very carefully to know the direction which the voice would come from. "It's Zachary Hawkins and I'm over here." For the fact that he had heard the full name of Zach, he had no other reason to doubt what he was hearing. He now asked again as he was yet to be sure
"Okay," Eric finally agreed to what Zach was requesting and then helped him get on his feet. It was at this point when he was helping him to stand up that Eric realized that Zach had broken his right leg and would not be able to walk out of the woods unless he was treated even if it was not completely, at least to a point, because even standing up was a problem. "Aaahhhh!" Zach screamed as he tried to stand. it wasn't as though he did not know that he had broken his leg, but he did not know that was how bad it was. He was definitely feeling the pain but since he had not tried standing with it, he thought it to be a minor thing. He had sustained this broken bone at the moment when the beasts attacked him out of nowhere, and that was the same time when Eric and the orc heard the screen that made Eric to be inside the woods too. He was not able to continue shouting after the first one because the monsters knocked him so hard that he passed out and then they tied him to the tree. He had w
Despite how Zach kept looking around in fear, Eric still did not know that he had to stop whatever he was doing so that they would leave the place. Since Zach was not able to move without his aid, he was not bothered at all. Most of all, he believed that what he was doing was for his own good and not even his. Normally before now, Eric was about to leave the wood before he met him and changed his mind. What he wanted was that before they leave that place Zack should not be a total reliability to him. He wants him to be able to move faster and even be able to stand and fight if the need arises. Most of all, his peace of mind was because he believed that they were in a calm place where the beast would not see them no matter what so he took his time to find what he was looking for, not listening to what his friend was telling him about the beast being close to them. In the next couple of minutes, he seemed to take a pause as it appeared he had seen what he was looking for but even Zach c
With the way he had raised his voice at him, Zach had to stop talking as he knew that Eric was not happy with the way he was sounding. “I’m sorry Eric,” he apologized even when he had the right to be afraid and to sound the way he was sounding because he had told Eric that thing about them leaving the woods but he wouldn’t listen, instead he paid deaf ears to him. With the way Zach used to apologize to him, Eric was now made to feel guilty because he was really warned about that and knew that Zach had the sole right to complain as he was doing at that moment. “It’s okay sir, I am the one who is to be apologizing for not listening to you when you were warning me about the creatures. I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you.” Now it was a section of apology that they’ve but entered which was the wrong thing they should be doing at the moment. Zach was able to see that the path which they were taking was no longer the right path, so he had to tell Eric. “We shouldn’t be doing this now, t
The chase continued for only a few more minutes and then the monsters began to compass him just as he had thought. They were now taking some paths which he knew not of and since it was their area, they were really good at over taking him through these routes. When the first one came out from his left hand side and dived at him he was very surprised, it was the first time he was seeing the creature and now he was able to realize why Zach was so eager about them leaving the woods. The creature was truly a beast, it was such that he had never seen before in any movie or game in his world, nor had the people of Palind seen such a monster before, now he was able to realize why he was told that the outer world was dominated by monsters that were even more dangerous than the ones that used to attack the country and this one was a prefect description. Though he had successfully dodged the beast from striking him but he could not stop looking over his shoulder to see if another one was coming
Thus, letting Eric and Zach leave the woods alive was a strong no to them, they had to be stopped from leaving so they don’t bring news about their existence to the other humans and cause them to attack the jungle. In addition to this they knew that even after killing Eric and Zach, the humans will come to war against them for killing their own as common sense tells them that the other humans in Palind were aware of their journey to that place, so it was literally after killing the two supposed spies, then they would head for the cities of Palind and by so doing they will be informed of the war and would help the orc succeed in wiping human race off the face of the earth. Eric never knew anything about these creatures and why they were attacking him, nor did Zach about them too else he wouldn’t have taken the fighting posture and waited for them to attack. What he would have done if he was aware of this was to plead and explain things to them, at least that way, he would avoid anythin
At the resounding of the voice again, he had to force himself up on his feet even when it was not his intention because he knew that if he left that position, he might never return to the world of Palind. Surprisingly to him, as he stood, he could not feel any of the pains he had incurred from the beat of those beasts. He recalled bleeding from his head, so at once he touched the exact spot where his injury was only to realize that there was nothing like that. He could not even feel the pain, not was he able to feel the scar as it probably must have healed according to his thoughts. "This isn't happening," he muttered in annoyance and disappointment. He could remember that the first time he was in that space, he was feeling the pains connected to the world of Palind and the incident that brought him there, but this time, everything was totally different. Now he had to call out for the voice that had been speaking to him since his arrival there, “Hey! Who are you?! Show yourself?”
Eric was startled as he heard those last words, he never expected such nor could he believe it. The end point of what he was being told was that his death was irreversible and that it was also as a result of his failure to plan the entire game before his accident. So he was really disturbed that he could not see his daughter again. Therefore he had to think again on a way to make his returns possible. He was troubled to hear that the world of Palind had stopped existing due to his death, and from all he had come to know, he can’t return to the real world and to New York city without going through the world of Palind. That was his only portal back to his daughter. He took out this time to carefully reason all that the voice had told him in the course of those words, then he could remember when it said that all that had been happening in Palind was his idea but he knew very well that not all was his idea because he never planned for the savoir or hero of the world to come from nowhere ju
