The night was quite long unlike the previous ones, but they could not question nature, as it was a certain thing that the sun would surely rise even if it wanted to take extra hours to do so. Looking around as he was told, he still did not notice anything strange because he had looked around before now when he was looking for the orc. He maintained a still posture for a moment trying to figure out what had made Eric ask him to look around. Initially. Zach was not happy to hear the word ‘sit’ but he was left with no other choice. It took some minutes before gradually lowered himself to the ground. He did not give Eric any audible response to the request he had made, but his action of sitting down was enough to tell that he agrees to the request of sitting and making a plan. Even though it had lied, about why it did not run away, Eric for sure knew that it was lying due to the way it stammered. He could now be bold to say that the orc was scared of being manipulated but there was no need of prolonging the talk. Zach was a little bit convinced by what he said as regards to the he was the interpretation of what the orc had told him after it returned from looking around the place. He had his mind still telling him that Eric was lying and wanted him to stand by the words which he had said. Asking a series of questions at the same time made it impossible for Eric to know and decide which one to answer and which not to, so he chose not to answer any of the questions, and in place of an answer he said. “What other choice do we have?” His reply was very much perfect because if things were viewed from the other perspective. They truly do not have a choice than to follow the other. Eric understood that the ten minutes was not a negotiation but a decision which he had taken without considering his say and with the way he was pacing the place, he knew that there was nothing he would say to him that would be listened to thus he had only the choice of taking the ten minutes and making good use of it. It took almost over five hours before the detective in charge of interrogating the suspect came out to meet Eric Claus and Chase Stevens in the police station. “Just before you woke up,” Chase began, “He told Lauren and I that he would be removing you from life support because his test showed that you would never wake up again. But upon coming to see you in the ward, we found you awake, that is to say he has found out that you would be waking up any time soon so he wanted to prevent it from happening. When I asked him how it was possible that someone who he presumed to never wake up again was awake and sound, he said he didn’t know and would do some research that would explain it scientifically. The doctor ran another test on Eric Claus early the next morning to confirm whether he was fully fit to leave the hospital and still his results were positive that he did not see any other reason to keep Eric there in the hospital. The monitor attached to Eric Claus began to beep loudly, alerting the nurses and medical personnel nearby to hurriedly come check on him and find out what was the cause of the sudden beeping of the monitor. The first nurse that ran in noticed his temperature was burning beyond normal and it was something beyond her skills so she rushed out to call the doctor in charge of his treatment while another nurse that followed after her tried to stabilize the situation pending the doctor’s arrival. In a few minutes the doctor came in to check on him and saw that it was more than a normal burning for someone in his condition, and something he hasn’t seen before throughout his entire career, but that was not going to prevent from running some quick test on him.
