Stuck in my Game World. 165. Do something...
While they were gathering the spoils of the city, there was noise coming from the entrance of the city, it was the sound of a multitude. So general Morgan who was closest to the gate had to check the cause of the noise but he was quite sure that it wasn’t a sound of war. Coming out of the city gates which was not destroyed saw a troop of soldiers that had finished a great fight which obviously was lost, they had with them survivors from which were not warriors and from this sight, Morgan could already predict what happened. He was short of words because they had come to the city of Warcton at the wrong time, he knew exactly that they had come to take refuge there but the city they had come to was also seeking for where to take refuge because of its fall. Still unable to speak telling the people whether to come in or go to another, King Luca joined him out after hearing from a soldier about the arrival of other people. They did not know how to tell the people that Warcton was no fort

Eric also felt compassion seeing how he was crying like a child. He was confused but by the sound of that word, he could feel that Zach believed in him and that he could do something, so he looked at the staff which he had kept on the ground beside him. His stare at it was with expectation and his expectation was not cut short. A new inscription appeared on the body of the staff, so he said the words not knowing what kind it was, all he knew was that for it to appear all of a sudden, then it was the exact thing he needed at the moment. Even before he finished saying what was written on the staff because the write-up was quite a long one, Zach began to feel the impact so he could not hold back from saying. “It’s working…. Eric it’s working, don’t stop.” With the words, Eric was distracted, he wanted to look at Zack to know what he was talking about but since he was told not to stop, he forced himself to maintain focus and keep saying the words to the staff. At the end, he then looke

Just as expected, Zach still had something to say but since Eric was on the move, he could not say what was in his mind again because Eric was fast and if he really wanted him to hear what he had to say, then he had to shout which would draw attention to them. So the best he did was move with Eric. Eric sneaked up to one of the orcs that patrolled towards the place he was heading to and silently took it out, dragging its lifeless body to a corner where it would not be since by another that would raise an alarm and cause the whole patrolling army of orcs to begin a search for them. After killing the first one, Zach also did the same to the orc which was drawing towards that place after hearing some sounds that were suspicious to it. They then looked at themselves with a smile on their faces which was definitely passing a message that was understood by the both of them after which they continued sneaking up on the orcs one after another until the point where the number of patrolling o

Some minutes after Eric fixed those gaze at the orc, it began to tell as it felt some strange sensation in its body and it could tell definitely that what it felt was because of Eric's action, thus it screamed. "Hey, what are you doing to me?! Stop it!" Eric still did not pay attention to its words and yelling, he carried on with what he was doing, which was simply staring tremendously into its eyes. He was the only one that knew the aim of his action, even the orc did not know what he was doing. All it knew was that it was affected by that action and the effect was also physical to it. At the end of good time, Eric then stopped his action with a smile as he turned to Zach who was now full of expectations but before he would say a word the orc had spoken first. "What are you doing to me?" "Don't worry, you will soon find out." Eric simply replied to it. The orc was even lucky to have gotten that response from Eric after it had refused to tell him what he wanted from it and now he ha

“Over there,” the three of them answered at a time as they pointed backwards where there was a supposed door. They were shaking as they gave this response which was enough proof to tell that they were not lying. Nevertheless, their confession had to be confirmed first before they would be allowed to live just as they were pleading. So Eric singled Zach with a simple look which meant for him to move towards the direction which had been pointed out by the orcs and check for his son. Zach for sure did not trust the orcs and where they had pointed, he perceived to be another trick of theirs to lure them into another trap of orc armies which might be lying in wait to attack them. But since he could sense some atom of trust which Eric had where they were, he made the move to check out the place that had been pointed. His movement was a bit slow since he was very conscious to avoid falling into a trap. Slowly he got to the place but the supposed door was locked, even the small opening whic

Now the portal which they went into in the base of the orcs brought them to the boundary between the outer world and the country of Palind, the city of Riverston, at the bank of the river in particular. Zach was so happy and surprised to have come so close to the country with ease without having to fight again. But at the same time remembering that he was still carrying his son who was unconscious, he was not as happy as he ought to be, in short, he seemed more in a sad mood than in a happy mood. “Eric,” he called, reminding him of Harris so that he would do something to save that would cause him to regain consciousness. As his name was called, Eric turned to Zach and with the way Zach looked at Harris, he understood what he had called him for without having him say the words. So Eric replied, “We are close to the city of Riverston, come on let's join the soldiers in the camp first. Your son will be okay.” Eric said those words which boasted the faith of Zach, those words were wor

Next, Eric Claus began to mutter some words as he placed his arm on Harris’ chest where his heart was located. Just like in the real world, whenever the heart of a person stops pulping, pressure will be applied, so he had to apply this strategy, hitting the heart of Harris in order for it to start pumping blood to all parts of his body again. He carried out this process for a while even as he did not seize to say the magical words that were coming out of his mouth. At the end of about twenty to thirty minutes, he felt the beating of Harris’ heart because he had shut his eyes as he carried out those actions. So with what he felt, he was forced to open his eyes again and look at Harris to confirm what his hands had felt. Lo and behold, Harris’ heart had begun functioning again though he wasn’t awake yet but with his development there was every certainty to tell that he was back to life and would be awake in a matter of time. So he stood up with confidence and went out of the tent. Jus

In the next five hours the riders which Commander Benjamin had sent to Raychester came back to Riverston and at this time, Harris was already awake with his father and Eric. The riders were first sighted by Eric and Zachary because Ben was still busy taking care of some things in the camp. Eric was able to discern that their mission was not accomplished, thereby knowing that something had happened in Raychester castle that would be right, thus he didn’t wait for commander Ben to come before asking the soldiers. “What is the situation at Raychester?” “His Majesty is not there. Reports state that he journeyed to Warcton Fortress with other leaders and a troop.” One of the riders answered him. But Eric still knew there was more to be told to him about the city of the King so he further said, “Did something bad happen in Raychester?” “There is news about a dragon attacking the city but the King and his men did drive it away. But the soldiers there claim that his movement to Warcton was

On Eric's side, he didn't expect that question to be asked, but since it was asked, he could not answer it, so he simply said. "Don't worry baby, everything will be fine. The police are there to protect you and your aunt Lauren." "From who?" She asked again. "From some very bad people." He answered, in order for her to ask another question, he added. "Can you give your aunt the phone?" "Eric, what's going on?" Lauren asked as soon as he received the phone from Jodie. "I promise I'll explain everything to you when I am bad. Just be rest assured that I am not the one they are protecting you from. It's very complicated but I promise you will understand after I've explained everything to you." "Okay bro." "Please be safe and keep Jodie safe." Eric pleaded as they said goodbye. **** Towards evening the next day, Eric Claus and Chase Stevens were called to the police station by the detective and on their arrival, the detective took them to meet a new prisoner under their custody. It took almost over five hours before the detective in charge of interrogating the suspect came out to meet Eric Claus and Chase Stevens in the police station. "I thought you were asked to leave?" he asked, to my surprise. His question called their attention, so they looked up in shock but without fear since they had committed no offense by staying. "Well," Chase began as he searched for the right words to say that would make the detective understand their reason for not going home as they were asked to. "We just couldn't leave." he said, still unable to find the best words. Eric had to help him out at this point even though he was not totally in support of them staying there for that long. "Were you people able to force the truth out of him? I just can't go home knowing that someone wants me dead and probably why?" That was a good reason to defend and justify their refusal to leave the station and the detective understood quite well so he did have to press further. "Well, you two

“Just before you woke up,” Chase began, “He told Lauren and I that he would be removing you from life support because his test showed that you would never wake up again. But upon coming to see you in the ward, we found you awake, that is to say he has found out that you would be waking up any time soon so he wanted to prevent it from happening. When I asked him how it was possible that someone who he presumed to never wake up again was awake and sound, he said he didn’t know and would do some research that would explain it scientifically. He still has not given any response with the claim that he was still doing his research with some of his colleagues.” Now Eric was getting a clear understanding of something that he never put into consideration before now. It was now clear to him why he had to leave the world of Palind, letting them complete the fight which was supposed to be concluded before his departure. So he had no reason to doubt the words and suspicions of Chase. “In that cas

The doctor ran another test on Eric Claus early the next morning to confirm whether he was fully fit to leave the hospital and still his results were positive that he did not see any other reason to keep Eric there in the hospital. So he had to break the good news about his discharge so he could prepare to go home. Towards the evening hours of the day, Chase was there with Lauren and Jodie to pick Eric from the hospital and take home. While Lauren and Jodie were with Eric in the room putting together his stuff for departure, Chase went to see the doctor. After a knock on the office door, he was asked to come in and the doctor was instantly eclipsed with shock. Immediately he saw that it was Chase who had come to his office. He knew they were done with all formalities already and he shouldn’t be there again. “Oh, Mr. Chase, is it you again? Hope all is well?” the doctor said while trying to hide his freight. “Yes,” Chase walked up to the desk and with an eye gesture he asked if he c

When he came into the room Eric was still gusting and laughing with his sister and daughter, Chase did not intend to disrupt that moment knowing how much such a moment felt for the family. “I am happy to see such smiles on your faces,” Chase said, “Permission to share at this moment?” “Sure you are free.” Eric answered with gladness. The fun moment lasted for a couple of hours, until it was getting late, so Lauren had to take Jodie home since they came right from school. “Jodie, I guess we should get going now.” “No, I want to spend more time with my dad.” Jodie refused because she didn’t want that moment to end. She was also scared that her father would go into a coma again. “Come on… you will have the time you want with him, he is not going anywhere. Besides, you haven’t gotten home since you closed from school today and you still have homework and school tomorrow.” Lauren gave her some reasons why they have to go home. Eric was quite happy to hear that Jodie has been going to

Due to the looks on both Lauren and Chase’s face, the doctor could tell what they were thinking but he could not concur with it. “That is not possible.” He opened the door and to his greatest surprise, it was exactly as he had read from the faces of Chase and Lauren, so he froze at the entrance. Seeing the manner in which the doctor became static, Chase and Lauren looked into the room, lo and behold, it was Eric Claus awake and talking to his daughter Jodie Eric. They too could not move for a moment and were short of words to say until Jodie saw them standing static at the door post and said. “Aunt Lauren, look, dad is awake.” “Of course he is…” Lauren replied as he slowly took some steps closer to the bed Eric was lying on. Eric then turned to the door and saw both his boss and the doctor. He was surprised to see Chase Stevens there instead of being in the company. He knew quite well what happened to him and did not need much explanation from them, he only asked one question perta

The monitor attached to Eric Claus began to beep loudly, alerting the nurses and medical personnel nearby to hurriedly come check on him and find out what was the cause of the sudden beeping of the monitor. The first nurse that ran in noticed his temperature was burning beyond normal and it was something beyond her skills so she rushed out to call the doctor in charge of his treatment while another nurse that followed after her tried to stabilize the situation pending the doctor’s arrival. In a few minutes the doctor came in to check on him and saw that it was more than a normal burning for someone in his condition, and something he hasn’t seen before throughout his entire career, but that was not going to prevent from running some quick test on him. The tests were all reporting strange feedback as they stabilized him with an injection to stop the burning. Soon he began to sweat which was still strange to the professionals. “He is dying,” The doctor gave the only explanation he co

After the conversation and argument had come to an end by those words of Eric, the four of them came out of the room to meet General Aaron Gordon, General Morgan Elliot and Prince Reece Cole who were waiting for them outside. “Let’s move out.” King Luca gave the command which they have all been waiting for all these while. Afterwards they got their horses and led the soldiers out of the city of Griffins. Harris had not taken his mind off from what Eric told him, so he was still waiting to hear the outcome of Eric’s discussion with his father. So as they headed for the city of Ironbrook, he rushed forward, coming close to his father and asked in a low tune since he also thought it to be a secret. “Father, how did it go?” Zach’s mind was no longer on that, he did not perceive Harris to keep thinking of that, so he asked back as he looked into his son’s eyes curiously. “How did what go?” Still wanting to keep it a secret, Harris did not answer that question with words but with an ey

After Harris was out of sight, Zachary Hawkins changed the pretentious discussion. “The King will now see you Eric.” “Okay.” Eric said as they both head to meet with King Luca Cole. In a couple of minutes they were in the king’s presence and Eric said. “Your majesty, you asked to speak with me.” “Yes,” Luca turned towards him. “We are ready to move out, so we want to know if you are set.” “Ermmm….” Eric stammered because he had not told the King about his soon departure and as Zach had advised, it was wise for him to tell the king that he would soon be leaving the country Palind back to his world. he struggled to get the right words to break the news he had for Luca but his facial expression already foretold that what he was trying to say was not something pleasant to be heard. “It’s okay, Eric, you can spit it out and stop bordering on how I will take it.” Luca encouraged him to speak and stopped holding his words. With the readiness and willingness of King Luca Cole to hear wh
