While he fed himself with these discouraging words, he saw a young soldier climbing the back of one of the trolls as his used arrows which were still on its back as steps till he got to its shoulder.

Right on top of its shoulder, the troll wanted to drag him down but the soldier was smart enough to cut off its finger, causing the troll to cry in pain as blood was drawn from its body. Still without wasting time, he pierced the sword into its throat, and the troll danced around screaming till it got to the ground.

At the moment it landed on the ground, the battle ground shaked and it was noticed that one of the trolls had reached the ground.

Eric happened to be the only one who kept a close look at what the soldier had done although he would have not been successful if not for the soldiers who were distracting the troll while on the ground. At least he had known a place which blood could easily be drawn from and since he can't do what the soldier had done because there was no other tro

Let them be." Zach said to him as he wanted to move in with a lamp in his hand."They are in there," he still insisted on going in."No, you won't find them. Trust me." Then Luca threw the lamp into the cave to see how the inside was, but as the lamp got into the cave, it went off instantly preventing the King from seeing anything. Then he turned, and asked with a high tone. As they came to the Raychester castle after about a four hours ride with great speed, they rushed down to the army camp and searched for the supervisor. "Sir, we bring words from General Aaron Gordon."Based on the usual instruction that will come from the General or other commanders in the field, the supervisor asked. "Did he say how many men he will be needing because most of the soldiers are still going through training and it would not be advisable that they go into combat now.""Sir, we are not here l for more men. Rather we were charged to bring a soldier from the medical department."Then the supervisor concluded that they had so many wounded soldiers in their midst that they could not bring all of them back to the castle so he said. "That will not be a problem, I will assign the best few to go with you immediately.""We only need one person, he goes by the name Harris and it was said that you know this soldier very well."The supervisor was surprised, because he knew that Har

Aaron just stood still and watched them, but as Harris was walking away, he followed him to know what was the meaning of those words, why he said them and most of all why his father wanted him to say them."Wait Harris..." he called as Harris walked away in haste. Harris stopped under the command of a General, and as Aaron came close to him, he asked. "What is the meaning of that? Why is your father so certain that Eric is not gone even after seeing that there is no sign of life in him?""It is a long story," Harris did not want to tell it to him else he might start seeing him as a magician just as his father sees him."Make it brief," he said but suspected that Harris would tell him that it can not be briefed so he added, "Or you can not brief the whole story, then tell me about it in full. I have all the time to listen."Since Aaron had developed so much interest in knowing what was going on, he had to speak and not hide it again. "It was after the dragon's first attack, that Eric C

Now after King Luca Cole had spent so long inside the tank trying to figure out the special thing about the staff that had made it able to cut off the head of a troll yet was not able to discern any special thing which he could hold on to, he had to come out of the tent as he could also tell that the day was soon passing by and they can not stay there till dusk because the trolls can come out again and this time will wipe all the remaining army. When he came outside, the soldiers were quite ready to move, all they were doing was to wait for an order which they believed would soon come. Then he saw Zach carrying the corpse of Eric which he had thought they had buried as instructed, so went to meet him as he called, causing him to stop and turn around. "Zachary!""Your majesty," He replied as the King came closer."What are you still doing with this body?""My lord, I'm sorry but I can not watch him being buried.""Nobody said you must watch while he is buried. They were approaching the gate of Raychester when they received words from three riders who met them on the way at twilight. When King Luca had asked them what their mission was, one of them said they were coming to get aid for the city of Riverston which was under attack. Then the King looked at the men which he was returning with and those eyes could tell that he was going to need some of them to go with the riders. While he looked at the soldiers he studied to know if they would like to go or not seeing that they were just returning from a fight. As nature may have, there were always going to be those who would want to fight voluntarily. And since would not want to force any of his soldiers, he asked that those who were willing and had the strength to fight should join the riders. To his greatest surprise, about half of them if not more were willing, and since they were close to the gate of their destination, he could not stop them since the war did not get that close to Raychest

Just as they were about to remove everything that was connected to his body, they could hear the monitor beeping, and all eyes turned to see that it had begun to read again, detecting life in his body. Instantly they looked at Eric and could see his eyes open, as he stared at them.So the doctor looked at time again, it was eleven forty, so he immediately, along with the nurses with him resumed the administration of treatment to him, as they fixed back the drip in him and other necessities.Even after this, the doctor confirmed that he is still in a coma but there was quite an improvement that his chances of survival had risen from fifteen percent which it recently dropped to, and was now at a thirty five percent rate. Though the chance was still nothing to celebrate because there was every possibility that it would drop again to an even lower rate than it had risen from. So all he had to do alongside his staff was to monitor him closely to see how it would go.******Back to the roo

  • Stuck in my Game World.   37. Can we talk with you?

Zachary understood why he was asking that question, but Eric did not since he was expecting the King to be happy that the savior of his land and world is not dead."Is that the question you are supposed to be asking? Aren't you supposed to be happy that I am still alive?""I am happy to see you are walking and breathing, but yes, that is the question I am supposed to ask because you were dead, freezing cold for over twenty four hours."Then Eric looked at the three people in the room with surprise. "Wait, there is something you are not telling me. Was that battle with the trolls not in the night breaking this morning?""No Eric. It broke yesterday. You died for more than a day." Zachary answered him.So he was silent for some time now, he then knew the reason for the King's shock was because he would feel the same way if he saw someone rise after being confirmed dead for over twenty four hours. While he was quiet, King Luca asked Zach, "What did you do to him? "Can you give your aunt the phone?" "Eric, what's going on?" Lauren asked as soon as he received the phone from Jodie. "I promise I'll explain everything to you when I am bad. It took almost over five hours before the detective in charge of interrogating the suspect came out to meet Eric Claus and Chase Stevens in the police station. "I thought you were asked to leave?" he asked, to my surprise. His question called their attention, so they looked up in shock but without fear since they had committed no offense by staying. "Well," Chase began as he searched for the right words to say that would make the detective understand their reason for not going home as they were asked to. "We just couldn't leave." he said, still unable to find the best words. Eric had to help him out at this point even though he was not totally in support of them staying there for that long. "Were you people able to force the truth out of him? I just can't go home knowing that someone wants me dead and probably why?" That was a good reason to defend and justify their refusal to leave the station and the detective understood quite well so he did have to press further. "Well, you two

“Just before you woke up,” Chase began, “He told Lauren and I that he would be removing you from life support because his test showed that you would never wake up again. But upon coming to see you in the ward, we found you awake, that is to say he has found out that you would be waking up any time soon so he wanted to prevent it from happening. When I asked him how it was possible that someone who he presumed to never wake up again was awake and sound, he said he didn’t know and would do some research that would explain it scientifically. He still has not given any response with the claim that he was still doing his research with some of his colleagues.” Now Eric was getting a clear understanding of something that he never put into consideration before now. It was now clear to him why he had to leave the world of Palind, letting them complete the fight which was supposed to be concluded before his departure. So he had no reason to doubt the words and suspicions of Chase. “In that cas

The doctor ran another test on Eric Claus early the next morning to confirm whether he was fully fit to leave the hospital and still his results were positive that he did not see any other reason to keep Eric there in the hospital. So he had to break the good news about his discharge so he could prepare to go home. Towards the evening hours of the day, Chase was there with Lauren and Jodie to pick Eric from the hospital and take home. While Lauren and Jodie were with Eric in the room putting together his stuff for departure, Chase went to see the doctor. After a knock on the office door, he was asked to come in and the doctor was instantly eclipsed with shock. Immediately he saw that it was Chase who had come to his office. He knew they were done with all formalities already and he shouldn’t be there again. “Oh, Mr. Chase, is it you again? Hope all is well?” the doctor said while trying to hide his freight. “Yes,” Chase walked up to the desk and with an eye gesture he asked if he c

When he came into the room Eric was still gusting and laughing with his sister and daughter, Chase did not intend to disrupt that moment knowing how much such a moment felt for the family. “I am happy to see such smiles on your faces,” Chase said, “Permission to share at this moment?” “Sure you are free.” Eric answered with gladness. The fun moment lasted for a couple of hours, until it was getting late, so Lauren had to take Jodie home since they came right from school. “Jodie, I guess we should get going now.” “No, I want to spend more time with my dad.” Jodie refused because she didn’t want that moment to end. She was also scared that her father would go into a coma again. “Come on… you will have the time you want with him, he is not going anywhere. Besides, you haven’t gotten home since you closed from school today and you still have homework and school tomorrow.” Lauren gave her some reasons why they have to go home. Eric was quite happy to hear that Jodie has been going to

Due to the looks on both Lauren and Chase’s face, the doctor could tell what they were thinking but he could not concur with it. “That is not possible.” He opened the door and to his greatest surprise, it was exactly as he had read from the faces of Chase and Lauren, so he froze at the entrance. Seeing the manner in which the doctor became static, Chase and Lauren looked into the room, lo and behold, it was Eric Claus awake and talking to his daughter Jodie Eric. They too could not move for a moment and were short of words to say until Jodie saw them standing static at the door post and said. “Aunt Lauren, look, dad is awake.” “Of course he is…” Lauren replied as he slowly took some steps closer to the bed Eric was lying on. Eric then turned to the door and saw both his boss and the doctor. He was surprised to see Chase Stevens there instead of being in the company. The monitor attached to Eric Claus began to beep loudly, alerting the nurses and medical personnel nearby to hurriedly come check on him and find out what was the cause of the sudden beeping of the monitor. The first nurse that ran in noticed his temperature was burning beyond normal and it was something beyond her skills so she rushed out to call the doctor in charge of his treatment while another nurse that followed after her tried to stabilize the situation pending the doctor’s arrival. In a few minutes the doctor came in to check on him and saw that it was more than a normal burning for someone in his condition, and something he hasn’t seen before throughout his entire career, but that was not going to prevent from running some quick test on him. The tests were all reporting strange feedback as they stabilized him with an injection to stop the burning. Soon he began to sweat which was still strange to the professionals. “He is dying,” The doctor gave the only explanation he co

After the conversation and argument had come to an end by those words of Eric, the four of them came out of the room to meet General Aaron Gordon, General Morgan Elliot and Prince Reece Cole who were waiting for them outside. “Let’s move out.” King Luca gave the command which they have all been waiting for all these while. Afterwards they got their horses and led the soldiers out of the city of Griffins. Harris had not taken his mind off from what Eric told him, so he was still waiting to hear the outcome of Eric’s discussion with his father. So as they headed for the city of Ironbrook, he rushed forward, coming close to his father and asked in a low tune since he also thought it to be a secret. “Father, how did it go?” Zach’s mind was no longer on that, he did not perceive Harris to keep thinking of that, so he asked back as he looked into his son’s eyes curiously. “How did what go?” Still wanting to keep it a secret, Harris did not answer that question with words but with an ey

After Harris was out of sight, Zachary Hawkins changed the pretentious discussion. “The King will now see you Eric.” “Okay.” Eric said as they both head to meet with King Luca Cole. In a couple of minutes they were in the king’s presence and Eric said. “Your majesty, you asked to speak with me.” “Yes,” Luca turned towards him. “We are ready to move out, so we want to know if you are set.” “Ermmm….” Eric stammered because he had not told the King about his soon departure and as Zach had advised, it was wise for him to tell the king that he would soon be leaving the country Palind back to his world. he struggled to get the right words to break the news he had for Luca but his facial expression already foretold that what he was trying to say was not something pleasant to be heard. “It’s okay, Eric, you can spit it out and stop bordering on how I will take it.” Luca encouraged him to speak and stopped holding his words. With the readiness and willingness of King Luca Cole to hear wh
