Chapter 22 (part 5)

Approximately three hours of more sleep was wasted while the Marsdtadts stayed in their room on the first floor of the Penthouse. Both Izobra and Zerkalo spent the time after waking from their long sleep with simple green tea, eggs, and ham, plus a dose of cherry jam on their toast. Pleased with the sleep they missed the previous day, they sent messages to their staff back at the office to continue their rounds on the families they needed to entertain for their “Raise for Reading” campaign. Part of the charity work Izobra organized along with several institutions in G-city that wanted to grant C-cities lack of access for their lower class.

“Dear, don’t you think we should be going back home?” Zerkalo asked his wife that sat stock still as he watched her cut his toast into bite-size pieces. “I’m sure they can handle themselves with the information we left them with. Plus, they don’t need to know anything anymore. Ah, please salt my sunny a bit more.”
