hi guys, Nate here today, another raw post but it's one of the few with more dialogue than normal Imago and Mirror are out to at least finish one mystery after running away from one they may have no scars or treasure from the slums, but they will remember them from here on that is why it's important for the both of them to establish an kind of integration for the future
The girl stood at four feet tall with her hair tightly bound by braids on the side of her face. No one would guess that the distance Imago saw the girl could be considered as “clear enough to see everything,” but it is what it is, they saw everything through their eyes. Completely mapping out how the girls’ eye’s looked alive but sad, dim to the daylight.Amazingly, it’s not how gloomy she expressed her emotions on her youthful face that catches Imago’s attention. Creepily considering if there was a hidden laboratory in this town or something akin to it, the girl looked like the woman from the picture and a possible youthful-looking Mirror. If Imago ever wondered what a young Mirror would look like, and female, there is a standing example just a distance away, in front of them.Someone had called Imago over so that they could have another hand carrying the five-foot chocolate fountain as the centerpiece of the reception area. Running over to help the others, Imago glances one last tim
Parties on the scale of a hundred attendees are no match to the tolerance and experience Mirror acquired by the forbearance they were instilled with as an android serving their “one rule.” If it was not enough, every member of their “rules” family is entitled to their kind of service, as long as their “rule” insists or requires them to in the likeliness that it was necessary. Long as they are not related or concerned with the current “rule,” any other kind of person asking for service from Mirror will be dismissed. The only exception to this is the recent events, although if it were not for Imago planning and agreeing with the plan, they would not proceed. That is the duality of Imago being the “rule,” a life meant to coexist with the ideology of freedom of one’s will to be exercised. The freedom to “coerce” a group of people into work is a questionable action that should be suspicious. Even the reason, as they say, “spend a time of tryst back into their house because they originally
Greeting someone’s resident of a home as if you were not a stranger seconds before meeting them should be grating their paranoia. A person’s level of fight or flight towards the “unknown,” mysterious, or any change in their environment, becomes confusing. Anything can happen. Any thought could occur. One thing is certain, Imago did not expect to be waved back by a stuffed toy dog that involuntarily followed gravity down the railing. Out of instinct, and panic, Imago rushed to catch the doll in time for the girl to run over the side staircase, making the loudest “thunk” sounds on the copper steps. The echoing of her running footsteps filled the walls of the first floor anyone within hearing reach would hear it without fail.“What happ—whoa, that’s cute to—” Mirror rushed to see Imago holding the stuffed toy dog with a frown dissolving into a pleasant smile when they noticed the doll in Imago’s arms. Though, they stopped moving forward when they noticed the girl at the base of the middl
Hi, guys! Nate here. Just updated with a new book cover with artwork from pansikoser (here's the link to the artwork on the cover: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/99898762 ) Been wanting to change the artwork to something nearer or much more relvant to the story. I can't see anything that wouldn't be that scary, or passable, but found a good composition and representation on how I imagined Trust and Betts. We're still on-going with the long Side Story, Nails on Coffee, but SS is nearing its end. Hopefully, we can get back to the main story and finish the C-city arc. Hint. Hint. C-city arc will be immersed with a lot more drama, and city ruin because-because... That's all for now~ Please do pass by to see the artist account of yours truly~Thanks! @AcrimonyNate
“No,” Mirror said as they did not feel tears, or what can be considered as tears, fall from their eyes yet it happened.Imago, who was on the side, busily removed their coat and folded it to hover over Mirror’s face, and softly said, “you can wipe it over here.”Concern oozed from Amalie as she conscientiously watched one comfort the other, but Imago’s expression made sure Amalie did not do anything wrong. She nodded even though she internally felt dejection as the unusually dark tears dropped from “Mir’s” cheeks. Looking at her fingers that wiped the dark tears did not leave any trace or smell. Nothing sort of quick evaporation to an unknown substance.“Where is your uncle now, Amalie?” Imago asked while Mirror consciously moved the direction of their body toward Imago, leaning down on the folded coat but pushing it further onto Imago’s shoulders.Amalie thought for a second before answering, “he’s left a few days ago for something…business-ish? He told me it’s related to his busines
Like a fleeting never slumber, Amalie stayed awake until the wee hours of the early morning, dismissing her Nan’s words to sleep early, as Imago heard vaguely before their conversation in the children’s study. They’re in the garage now, sitting in the yellow light of a gas lamp Amalie found as she struggled to look for things around. She said she spends her free time remembering every part of her uncle’s house that she can vaguely guess where everything is or could be on the off chance she was required to look for something. Dangerous circumstances could happen to a rich young lady like her, but nothing more could be said if fate puts her resilience in a test built for failure, to begin with. That’s how Mirror saw everything for her, a future bleak but initially hopeful.Yet, it was not their place to step close to their souls and start rambling about concerning themselves with their lives. As slumber stole Amalie’s last words during the darkest point before dawn, Mirror cast Imago a
Amalie stands still as she reads a letter she found in the living room, as stated to her Nan, Mir and Ima left it for her as they went out for a while, on their own. She asked where they went or when they’ll be back, but Nan only said, with a solemn face, that everything she needed to know would be in the letter.A second’s turmoil played in the girl’s mind of how it felt, again, to be left alone by people she liked to be around. Was it her fault that they leave her alone? Or was it just circumstances breaking their paths apart from each other? She did not know or try thinking further, all she could do was read the letter with indifference, as best she can.“To Amalie,There’s something you should know about us before anything else, we’re relatives of yours but not in the way you think. Either way, we’ve not lived in this town until two months ago, and our lives did not begin anywhere in this era. There’s a lot to unpack but we have little to no relevance to your life directly, except
Four months of absence from the presence of the ruined F-city is like a breath of fresh air to Imago who booted back up into life when they felt their partner jolt them awake from their nape when Mirror forcefully linked their selves through that part of their body. Quivering eyelids popped open to see the greenery of the mall garden, while the foot of a dog walked around with other dogs in its pack.Shocked by the sudden presence of another creature within their eyesight made Imago rose into a ninety-degree sitting position that felt like a spring was set up in automatic for the alarm clock to trigger. Brown, neat fur and light-footed hooves walked around in tranquility even though Imago noisily hit the leaves of a long-leafed mauve plant above them.Their head swiveled to view around and saw that they were placed under the mauve-colored plant to avoid the sunlight. Behind them sat Mirror who held their hand in front of them in a position of open palm de
