CHAPTER 114: The D- Day

The D-Day was set, the transactions were almost ready and all Caine was waiting for was the go-ahead for him to begin his investigation properly. Captain had managed to make sure that he got three hundred thousand miles away from Caine. It was one of the sacrifices that he had to pay. If not, he wouldn't be able to do anything.

He called his wife and appealed that she bear with him for the meantime, he would soon be done and was going to come and make things right on his side.

The wife didn't reply to him because she would rather not sound insensitive, but she was not convinced that it was fair for her husband to play with their lives while killing himself over another person's home. It didn't make sense to, but she didn't say anything.

“ Anyway, I'll give you the opportunity to redeem yourself. I'll ask that you visit us, even if it's once before we leave. We don't know when we might be seeing each other again, or if we would even see each other again anymore.” She said.
