CHAPTER 22: COMPLAIN

" Aren't you supposed to guard me from unwanted people? Instead you went ahead to let her in. What if she was here to harm me?!" He thundered startling Clara when she walked into the office.

She tiptoed into her office so that she didn't get caught in the crossfire. She checked her desk for her card which she forgot the previous day.

She had placed her hand on the doorknob ready to flee when she heard his voice. " Where are you coming from?" Henry said and shut her eyes briefly. How did he know that she was at work?

" Good evening, sir Henry." She replied, hoping that he would miraculously forget his warning.

"What did I tell you yesterday?" He asked angrily. After his warnings, she had the audacity to show up at work. What did this people take him for? A spineless dog?

Clara sighed and prayed earnestly inwardly. Lord, may he not be too angry.' She said. " I'm sorry, sir. I came here to pick up my debit card so that I can pay for the glasses." She tapped her eyes slowly.
