“Her speech might be affected in the meantime.” The doctor said, and Henry sighed.

“ What do you mean, affect her speech?” He asked. “ You did say that it didn't affect any major organs.

“ Oh, she was shot twice. One in the head and one on the neck. It's a miracle that she survived.” The doctor explained. He wasn't sure that they knew the severity.

“ Will she be dumb for a while or what?”

“ Kind of, until the scar heals.”

“ For how long?”

“ Three to six months.”

“ What? That is not the meantime!” Henry exclaimed. Gosh, this is terrible. He could imagine how she would feel when she woke up the next day and found out that she couldn't speak.

“ It's not as bad as you think. She will be silent for the first weeks. Subsequently, she can start exercising her vocal cords.” The doctor explained. “ She will do a lot of written communication.” He said.

Henry didn't know how to feel. All he knew was that he had become a magnet of terrible incidents, and he wanted that to change. It was an
