"You've got to be kidding me!" Nux cursed underneath his breath.

He had been steps away from exiting the dojo, but now he had to face the Nobles again.

It wasn't that he was afraid, but it was just a hassle to deal with people in general.

Nux turned around slowly, giving the person who had touched him a bored stare. However, his eyes brightened the moment he saw who it was.

A green haired girl stared at him with a deep frown, and a sinking feeling was felt in Nux's stomach. It was Delilah.

'She's a Noble too?' He creased his brows.

"Where do you think you're going?!"

"Where do you think I'm going?!" Nux retorted.

A vein popped up on the side of Delilah's head, and she reeled in her urge to attack him. It was better if she used her head, rather than her emotions, to deal with him.

"My master wants to speak to you." Delilah spoke.

'Wants? To?' Nux thought. 'Even their choice of words aims to downgrade me.'

"Tell him or her that I'm busy." Nux turned around and began to walk away

The next page, where the spells were meant to be, had only one spell written on it in unique symbols. "Frequency Reading." He read. Nux tried to cast the spell, but he felt nothing. In his previous life, he knew next to nothing about Vibrations, so he didn't know how to approach the situation. He deactivated the spell and activated it again, this time, focusing on a piece of cloth laying on his bed. Still, he got nothing. He tried many ways until he finally figured it out. He activated the spell with his eyes closed. The only difference between the real world and what Nux could see at the moment, was the lack of colors and steady shape of objects. Everything within five meters of him was projected in his mind perfectly. He could see the wavy outline of things in his mind as if they were being s

"Flaming Shield speaks for itself, but what's breath of the Dragon." Nux asked. "Does it let me breath out fire...?"He tried casting the spell, but realised that it was passive, which implied that it was already active and working, though he couldn't feel or sense any changes to his body or see its effect on his surroundings, despite him taking his time to thoroughly check his whole body. This was one of those situations where he couldn't find anything out of place in his body, because it was beyond his ability to sense them. He gave up on trying and casted Flaming Shield, scanned it for a second, before dismissing it and finally leaving his treehouse. He moved with his eyes closed, scanning his vicinity cautiously, and at times suddenly flooding the Frequency Reading spell with Mana and gaining a wider view.He couldn't see the people he thought to be tailing him, however, that didn't make him lower his guard one bit. A cold aura burst forth from Gregory in violent waves, and his presence seemed to multiply, bearing down on the surroundings and filling everywhere with a bluish cold air.'Icy Aura.' Gregory thought with a wicked smile.Nux faltered slightly die to the cold, but immediately regained his focus soon after his body adapted. Gregory waved his metallic Fans, and two chilling arcs of Ice shot towards Nux. 'Flaming Shield?!' Nux thought swiftly, his mind calculating and going through several simulations at once. 'No.' He dived to the side, avoiding the arcs of Ice, and then barrelled towards Gregory.'Just like Sir Nicole taught me.' Nux thought as his intent blazed. His onyx eyes reflected light, and just at the right angle, they almost seemed to do the opposite. Gregory scoffed when he saw how Nux was charging at him with wild abandon, and swung his fans in a wide curve, conjuring twin blizzard balls and spiralling them towards him. Moving rapidly for the past thirty minutes seemed to have made him tire out.A normal person would have given up, forfeiting the match before they got too weak to defend themselves from any attack, and risk suffering injuries. But Nux persisted, and that seemed to be coming back to bite him in the ass. He faltered for just a second, but that tiny opening wasn't missed by Gregory, and his clone stepped forward swiftly, and let it's blade-like metallic fans fall like guillotines. Unexpectedly, Nux swiveled on his feets, twisting his body like a ballerina, and blasting a Fireball right at the clone. Even the clone seemed to be taken aback as it crumbled like a brick wall, sending icy rubles flying everywhere. Gregory was suddenly filled with dread. Nux walked out of the dojo breathing a bit too hard. Behind him, was a mound of something releasing thick black smoke, and spasming from time to time. The smell of burnt flesh permeated the air and was irritating, and the students backed away from the dojo, letting Nux pass while also retreating from the smoke. The Nobles were all speechless as they left one after the other, though not without giving the smoking mound an annoyed stare. The fight had taken a lot out of Nux, and he had almost lost had he not acted decisively and swiftly. He, as an all-rounder, was talented in all three major categories of the Awakened. His mental strength was just as good as Mentalists, helping him unlock the ability to split his mind two ways. He could only split his mind for five minutes, which was not much time, and his Mana was also running low. So he used the limited time he had to plot against Gregory, split his mind to control a Draconic Flame Rune, and orchestrated a scene where Gregory wo

The Original Beast Soul, veiled by a curtain of abysmal darkness, stared at its master. Nux couldn't see it's face, but he could feel it's penetrating stare. The Beast Soul stood on the water, but a tide of darkness never stopped pouring out of it's body, forming a base beneath that made it seem as if Nux's Beast Soul and the water, were one. The staring contest continued on for a minute, before Nux heard a word in his mind."Limit."Nux didn't know if all Beast Souls could communicate with their masters like this, so he thought of it as his Beast Soul being unique. "I have reached my limit?" Nux iterated. "Just like I thought."His Beast Soul didn't reply and simply stared at him some more. Nux felt a touch on his body, and jumped out of his Soul Sea just to see Vivian staring at him. "Bind the beast quick. I don't have much time to waste."Nux sighed. 'It seems I have no choice.' 'Nova?' Nux thought. "When did I even name him!" Nux looked down and stared at the academy with a worried look. He couldn't see the whole length of the academy due to how large it was, but he could see a sizable chunk. His treehouse was close by, he could see Mission Hall>X<, Martial Hall , the PE Class's field, which had surprisingly regained it's previous look and no longer had a crater in it, and could see other treehouses, more buildings he didn't know their use, and many students moving about. Nux took deep breaths, then slowly guided... Nova, on his flight path. It wasn't smooth at first, but Nux adapted quickly. Nova too seemed to be cooperative and didn't do things on his own accord. The duo soared through the air at a steady pace, while slowly picking up speed. The wind currents threatened to throw Nux off, but he held on to Nova's fur and didn't let go. Nux walked into the building, looking around curiously. The building was really busy, with students going about looking at all kinds of 'stuffs'. The 'stuffs', turned out to be raw materials used for Inscribing and Enchanting, ranging from Quills and Inkwells, to Hammers and Chisels.Nux had later come to know that special Hammers and Chisels were used to inscribe on large structures. At first Nux was confused about the whole of Inscription, like for example, why did they need Quills and Inkwells to inscribe when they could just stamp the set of World Runes needed?Asking himself this question, that was how he realized that his case was special. Not everyone could stamp World Runes like he did. Though that came with its own con... He couldn't stamp other World Runes, even though he could control them. Still, that was a boon to his strength. Nux could see several Red/Black Runes floating around the his right arm. They moved in accordance to his arms movement, as if they were attached to it in someway. It should be known that Nux and the Shark King were both standing with their hands raised up. One was pushing and the other was pulling, and because of this, Nux hadn't seen his arm in time and didn't notice those Runes until now. 'Those are definitely Flames, I'm sure of it!' Nux claimed. 'But what Variant are they?'Nux's mind spun, and his thoughts flowed from one point to another. He thought back to how he had gotten the Arm Of Finality to actually be his arm. Natalie had explained to him that his body was filled with a red fog, and was deconstructed, before being rebuilt. He thought back to how his shirts were destroyed when he tried to put them on, and he thought back to the Apostle of Destruction's rusty Red armor. 'Are they perhaps, Variant Destruction/Fire Runes?' As soon as Nux had this thoughts, the Runes arou

Nux slid between the Shark King's leg and popped back up to his feets, then he turned around and kicked at the spot behind it's knees with force. Though it might be heavy, sturdy and incredibly strong, weakness were still weakness. This process repeated itself until Nux felt that his plan was ready. The creature, in it's rage, spat out flames again, and this time, Nux let it hit him. The Shark King seeing Nux fall to his knees got more confident, and it's took heavy steps forward, making sure Nux was at the hottest parts of the flame. 'A little more...' Nux thought, waiting for the Shark King to get closer. Nux's Fire Immunity was passive, so he couldn't turn it off...

When the explosion was almost over, all the particles, rocks, flames and whatnot that were pushed back by the explosion suddenly paused midair, as if time was stopped, and they began to flow in reverse, going back towards the origin of the explosion. Now Nux was truly intrigued. Nux stayed shocked for just a second before he acted out, punching out and shooting flames around. The Orange flames lighted up the cave for a second, and he was able to see around, giving Nux a vague idea of where he was. He wasn't a hundred percent sure, but he wasn't in the Beast's belly yet, and he also wasn't in it's mouth. He didn't understand how that was, but all Beasts came with their own unique mutations, quirks and mind-blowing Abilities. Nux, after falling for some seconds, finally landed on a soft squishy part. Goosebumps erupted over his skin as his phobia for soft, wet and squishy things came up. He reigned in the urge to step away from the place he stood on and clenched his fists. His arms lit up with Orange flames, and he raised them up, pointing it around and looking for a clue that could help him escape from the place he was easily, without blowing the Beast up. He noticed, after a while of searching, that the ground was pulsating, further agitating his phobia.

Nux knew that he wasn't fast enough, and the terrain wasn't to his advantage. His opponents were aerial too, further worsening the situation. "Doesn't mean I'll loose though." He acknowledged. He came to a grinding halt and turned around in one smooth motion, he faced his palms towards each other and placed them by his side, close to his hip. Fire began to charge in between them, and as the birds got closer, he compressed the flames that had gathered and threw his palms out, unleashing a beam right at them. Large swathes of them dropped to the ground, dead, but a large number of them remained. Nux didn't slow down after that first move and immediately attacked again. His punched out, and a short burst of flame went out and killed some birds again. The birds were weak individually, and their strength lied in their large Numbers, so each burst of flame took out at least two to three birds. Some seconds later, Nux realised that his efficiency was lacking, and his Mana was draining

Nux and Natalie traveled together with Master Joe, as Nux was forced to call him. Their journey was purposely made long and smooth, perhaps by Master Joe's will, or for another reason. Either way, Nux enjoyed it. They made some stops at Inns and Taverns to eat and clean themselves up, and this routine seemed to calm Nux's mind. It felt just like a holiday break, giving him the necessary rest he didn't know he needed. It wasn't up to a month since he joined the Limitless Sea Academy, hoping that he would learn a lot before leaving for the Heavenly Brutes Academy. But he ended up not learning exactly what he wanted and instead had to deal with annoying people most of the time, Nobles to be precise. He had learnt a little bit of Inscriptions and Enchantment, and he had a Quill and Inkwell, but... he hadn't had time to learn Inscribing itself, all he knew how to do was control Runes he had affinity for, and stamp them, which was very dangerous. Nux's smile widened and he proceeded to ask her what really happened while he was passed out. Natalie told how Teacher Joseph had come in and saved him, defeated the Apostle of Destruction easily while protecting him at the same time. Nux was surprised by what he heard, and he felt that something wasn't right."You said he saw you right, but he didn't say anything to you?" Nux asked. "Yes.""That's strange, does he not know?" Nux soliloquized. He didn't think for long and turned back to Natalie with a serious expression on his face. "You know you can't stay here anymore right?""Yes, and that's why she'll be going with you." Nux and Natalie looked up, and they found Teacher Joseph hovering right above them. "I assume you're ready to leave at this moment, No?" Teacher Joseph asked, going s
