Nux gave a report to a big bellied man, checked around some more, while secretly watching his stalker, before he eventually left.During his short time in the Mission Hall though, he had come to learn about some of the inner workings in the academy.Like missions for example, he learnt that there was a set of students who monopolized the best missions for themselves, to get the best from the Academy. They were known as Nobles, the sons and daughters of anyone who was a Baron, or of a higher position. Nux hadn't met anybody of this Nobles, though he wished to, so that he could compare their strength to his. Beside that, he wanted to hear those cliche lines that would make one cringe, give them some face slapping, and knock their ego down a peg.He didn't know why he was having this weird wishes, but he knew they were going to happen, sooner or later, and he didn't know just how right he was. Nux also learnt about Star Rankings in the Mission Hall, what it entailed and it's various u
"Prince Naveen huh?" Nux muttered. "So you still have eyes on me after all this while?"Nux had let the students run off after getting the information he needed. He had thought that Prince Naveen's influence wouldn't reach the Academy, but it seemed he was wrong about that. 'For all I know, he might have other people watching me.' Nux ruminated. 'I need to be more careful and vigilant of who I keep around me. Anyone could be his eyes and ears.'The Medallion on his neck vibrated, and a few words played in his head. Nux had found out a way to switch the loud alarm to a more subtle vibration, which helped him. He got up, and his frown deepened. "Telekinesis Class? But I don't have Telekinesis." He said evenly. "Let me just go. I shouldn't skip classes too much."He went to take a quick shower before he left his room.He hadn't seen Moby since he came back from the ruin and was pleased. He might have torched that guy if he actually met him. Nux passed through the Academy with slow st
Nux eyes shot wide open and he scrambled to his feets. Commotion spread like a wild fire, pun intended, and the students began to rush outside the building. Teacher Verone took action immediately, and a wave of Telekinesis surged, blanketing the flames and quenching some. Nux stood outside, watching the smoke billow out of the windows and door. He knew he was the cause of the fire, but he didn't actually care. The students were frustrating anyway, so if a few got burnt, then they deserved it. The flames burning were fierce, but Teacher Verone did well to put it out in due time. He walked out of the smoke coolly and flashed a bright smile. Some girls directly fainted from that gesture, while some even began to touch themselves. Nux was absolutely disgusted, and wanted nothing more than to leave that place as soon as possible. He needed a distraction. Suddenly, an explosion rocked the building, flinging everyone off their feets. Teacher Verone who was closest to the door, cut acro
"Did the Rune become a ball of flame?..." Nux asked himself. "Or was the ball of flame just the manifestation of the Rune in the real world?"Nux raised a hand, and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I'll just ask Teacher Clark during the next class."He dismissed the ball of blue flames and pressed his hand against the ground to stand up. He pushed lightly, and he was up on his feets. The Telekinesis Class building was still on fire, as smoke could be seen rising up in the distance, probably because the Rune still hadn't been found. Nux didn't plan on going back there, so he turned around and began to walk towards his treehouse. As he moved slowly through the winding pathways, he began to think thoroughly about all the gains he had made recently. The pull was what had brought about him finding out the power of his spell, Steal, and giving him great rewards. And since he now understood how the spell worked, he could get stronger at a faster pace. He wouldn't be leaving the Academy a
Nux turned around and froze. Every other thing around him was thrown to the back of his mind, and he completely focused on what was in front of him, not intentionally, but through a subconscious instinct. On the sand, just a few feets away from him, the towering form of a blue and white scaled Dragon could be seen. It's luminescent scales were beautifully carved, and glowed with incandescent lights. It appeared like each piece was intricately crafted by master artisans, as there were no scales with the tiniest blemish, crack or scratch on it. The Dragon's main horns were tall, and bent backwards slightly. They were so thick and long, they could be mistaken for twin bone-white spires, and with the addition of two more shorter horns curving backwards on each side of it's face, there were six horns in total. It's snout featured a nostril as big as an average hut, breathing out hot air as it slept, it's eyes were closed and fluttered from time to time as if wanting to open, and it h
"Nobles sure are pricks." Nux thought when he walked through the small crowd. There were those with superiority complex so great, they didn't spare him more than a single glance, while the major ones wanted to exert their dominance in some way. Their stares bore down on him, and some even activated some spells that attacked his psyche. He could have dismissed them easily had they been used one at a time, but when up to ten people stacked their spells and attacked him at the same time, it proved to be effective, albeit barely. He pushed through the assault with a calm expression, and branded each and every one of their faces in his mind. He would repay them ten folds. The Martial Hall was big with a spacious interior, and had the style of a modern Earth Dojo. The dark brown wooden floor boards didn't creak as he walked, and it gave off a smooth shine, almost as if it was polished.A Shoji separated the room into two. It had flowery patterns as it's designs, and had soft light coming
"You've got to be kidding me!" Nux cursed underneath his breath. He had been steps away from exiting the dojo, but now he had to face the Nobles again. It wasn't that he was afraid, but it was just a hassle to deal with people in general. Nux turned around slowly, giving the person who had touched him a bored stare. However, his eyes brightened the moment he saw who it was. A green haired girl stared at him with a deep frown, and a sinking feeling was felt in Nux's stomach. It was Delilah.'She's a Noble too?' He creased his brows."Where do you think you're going?!""Where do you think I'm going?!" Nux retorted. A vein popped up on the side of Delilah's head, and she reeled in her urge to attack him. It was better if she used her head, rather than her emotions, to deal with him. "My master wants to speak to you." Delilah spoke. 'Wants? To?' Nux thought. 'Even their choice of words aims to downgrade me.'"Tell him or her that I'm busy." Nux turned around and began to walk away
"Vibration." Nux cocked his head to a side. "This is a Vibration Element Beast Soul."Nux stared his Soul Book, where the doodled image of the Resplendent Quetzal was, with a raised brow. The next page, where the spells were meant to be, had only one spell written on it in unique symbols. "Frequency Reading." He read. Nux tried to cast the spell, but he felt nothing. In his previous life, he knew next to nothing about Vibrations, so he didn't know how to approach the situation. He deactivated the spell and activated it again, this time, focusing on a piece of cloth laying on his bed. Still, he got nothing. He tried many ways until he finally figured it out. He activated the spell with his eyes closed. The only difference between the real world and what Nux could see at the moment, was the lack of colors and steady shape of objects. Everything within five meters of him was projected in his mind perfectly. He could see the wavy outline of things in his mind as if they were being s
