The three stepped into the dungeon, and the bright gleam blurred their vision. When they adjusted their sight, they were back on the Northern square in the city area, however, rather than scrutinizing the region. Catherine and Salina swivel around and wait for Tejasv to appear.Daemon, on the other hand, beside them rolled his eyes around to check his surroundings for any hostility or enemy waiting for an ambush. Tejasv and his team concentrated on the incoming voice and clenched their respective weapons in a defensive stance. Daemon stood forward in the front while Salina was in the center, shielded by Tejasv and Catherine from the sidelines.While others still had solicitude over the fight in their present conditions, Daemon was the only one raging to have a face-off with some bastards or monsters. The events happening currently before Tejasv and others were horrendous and terrifying, but due to the charging and raging, daunting beasts incoming towards them, they didn't have enough time to consider or even ponder the causes behind these events.Although everyone in the Tejasv team knew the outcome of these two parties would be a direct clash for survival, none of them took even a step forward to save the man begging them for aiding him who was running towards them.Tejasv had a different mindset in these situations; rather than putting his life on the line for a stranger, he would either stay back or take his time to strike at the foe who was posing a threat to his companions.For such a reason, he stood still in his position and even signaled others in his team to stay back for a counterattack on those two beasts at the right moment. The vibration reverberated from the steps of Tejasv and Daemon startling the gnomes engaged in thrashing the corpse of the dead man. As their ears twitched due to their sensitive senses, they turned around to glance at the origin of the vibrations.Their eyes widen, and they grind their teeth with groans at the sight of two humans coming toward them with weapons and hostility. Tejasv signaled the Daemon and gestured to him to strike along with him as fiercely as he could muster his strength against those gnomes. Both of them snorted together and glanced back at those monsters before them.Not only did they have a plan and the intention to destroy the enemy before them, but even the gnomes also had enough of these humans. They groaned and grumbled due to the pain and agony in their bodies.The gnomes dived back from Tejasv and Daemon to counterplan something to their advantage. They pulled back the arrows stuck close to the joints of their limbs since they proved a hurdle in moving their bodies.Their movements were swift enough to leave Tejasv and Daemon stunned at their positions. The gnomes screeched in pain and were left stunned by the attack. Gradually, their expressions paled and the strength faded from their muscles. They felt cold, and the blood splattered like a running stream, mixing with the blood on the floor.Tejasv and Daemon resumed peering at the cold and lifeless figures of gnomes slowly falling to the floor with no resistance or retaliation. Tejasv and his team moved around towards their destination, Tejasv's home, where they formed their base for the time being since Tejasv was the center of the team and he was the one who gathered people together. Their focus was directed on the path back to his home.Although reaching Tejasv's home was their necessity and aim, there was another reason behind the cause. Since most of the buildings around them were ruined by something, they rushed to find the location of their base. Whether it was still standing or following these destroyed buildings, their heads were jumbled with these thoughts.Still, before the concern for their base, Tejasv and Daemon were worried about their states after the prolonged battles in the dungeon and afterward. They also realized none of the locations around them were purely secure from threats.Therefore, they decided to hide somehow, at least carefully and safely enough to survive a monster's attack while they could protect themselves with minimal effor
