4 A Warlock?

Jerouch finally calmed himself after thinking about the whole situation.

He was supposed to die, but somehow, he managed to come back to life with a screen clouding his vision.

He was not new to the idea of dying and coming back to life. Furthermore, he was a specimen of that, anyway.

However, he had woken up in the same body, although with little changes.

And to cap it off, there was this screen that stuck to him like a louse.

This was too familiar for him not to get an idea of what was happening.

He used to be a game developer on earth, and he sometimes read novel to get inspiration for his gaming projects.

' So, a system of some sort? ' he frowned as he felt into deep thought.

' But why now? And most importantly, why me? '

His eyes sharpened as he read the previous notifications again.

' I guess my strong will to rip those rats apart triggered the system, and as for the two near death situations…' he smirked and his eyes twitched in excitement.

' Open notification' Jerouch thought in his mind since touching the screen seemed not to work.

[Initializing status page…]

Jerouch read the new notification that popped up with interest.

[Status Page]

[Stat] [skills] [quest] [shop]

' My guess is correct, this is more like a gaming system. ' Jerouch inhaled cold air and his eyes brightened up.

This was making him go crazy with every minute that passed, and his chest was going up and down rapidly.

He selected the stat panel and a new tab appeared.

Host- Jerouch

Health- 50 Mana-20

Race- ???

Level-1(0/100)

Class-???

Rank- F

Strength – 1

Agility- 1

Mind- 15

Perception-1.

' Well, I can't expect anything better. ' He laughed as he scratched his nose.

' Um? ' he touched his nose again and then his whole face.

Shock!

A cold shiver ran down his spine as he felt smooth skin when he touched his face.

' This won't do, let me see if there's something that can show what my face currently looks like. '

' For now…'

' Health should be, well, my vitality. Given how malnourished this body is, I'm quite surprised with the number. ' he thought, and he even wondered about what would happen if it got to zero.

Shaking his head, he continued with his rough analysis.

' From those novels on earth, Mana should be that mystic energy that warlocks use when casting spells, right? ' he raised his eyes quizzically.

' Strength if my intuition is correct is the average strength I possess including brute force and explosive force. '

' Agility should be speed and flexibility, umm…'

' Mind? Hmm, perhaps because of the reincarnation, the mind seems to be the highest, as for what it represents, that should be related to mental whatever. ' he giggled.

' As for perception… That should be my awareness to the surroundings. '

'But what's up with the race? ' Jerouch had a confused look as he looked through the stats once again.

' Also, I'm starting off as an F rank. ' he bit his lips. ' Well, it's not as if I was expecting myself to become a god overnight, hehe. '

In this world, F rank warlocks were the weakest of all warlocks, and their stats were only slightly above normal humans.

There were also F rank dungeons, F rank monsters and even F rank runes.

The world was ruled by ranks and everything related to warlocks followed this rank.

Usually, an F rank warlock would be able to kill an F rank monster.

But as the ranks went up, losing or winning didn't heavily depend on ranks.

A new panel appeared, replacing the stat panel after clicking skills in his head.

[Skills]

[Passive skills]

Punch- Lvl 1

Kick- Lvl 1

[Active skills]

Healing- Lvl 1

[Host can speed up the normal healing factor by multiple numbers.]

[cost- 2 mana per second.]

Jerouch read the explanation of this u skill, and he couldn't help but grin.

Even though the Mana cost was outrageous, it was better than nothing.

He bit his left thumb and watched as blood trickle from the now swollen thumb.

' Healing. ' he thought.

' Woah! ' Jerouch exclaimed.

' This is fucking real, haha. ' he punched into empty air in excitement.

' I don't know who this system belongs to and why they chose me, but fuck everyone, it's about damn time things get interesting muahaha. ' A laugh that sent chills to the soul of anyone who heard it, resounded in the forest.

Still under the skill page, he clicked on another tab and his jaw dropped in astonishment.

[Grimoire- F rank]

Ability copy

[The divine grimoire of &$@. By writing the full name of any target, host can copy their abilities.]

[It can only be used on sentient beings with proper names.]

#$@

$#@

&$@

The requirement to unlock other divine abilities not met.

' Holy shit! ' Jerouch exclaimed and his eyes widened.

' This is broken, dammit' he facepalmed and his eyes glittered.

' Now I'm feeling more like a god-damn protagonist, however…' he bit his lower lips and savoured the metallic taste of the blood that oozed out from the bite.

' You crazy bastards won't be having a hero this time around, hehe. ' his eyes full of hatred gazed into the distant.

And what's this tab that refused to open?

[Dojo]

He tried clicking it in his head as he had been doing, but nothing happened.

Giving up, he decided to check other panels.

Shop too was greyed, and it also didn't show any tab, leaving him to check the quest panel.

[Main quest.]

Advance to D rank to unlock the main quest.
