“I can’t believe you got us a room here. Corey, how did you do it?” “I killed the elf.” He says without an ounce of remorse. Eleanora displayed her surprised look on her face. “You did what?” “Killed the elf. They should be bringing our food. I’m not going to take a shower, and change. I smell like him.” ‘He doesn’t even care.’ She only gave him a nod. His empty emotions frightened the mage for a moment, before she breathed out the air she had held in. Corey had hugged her back tightly. Other than his lack of care, emotions, his ability to tame her dragon, and do things that were so impossible she had to bet they were illegal, he was great. She swooned while she surveyed the room. The motel had a place for dragons, and other beast to sleep. Corey bought a private area for Greta. Her dragon made a good judgment in trusting him. Eleanora was seeing him differently too. She still didn’t know where he came from, or why his name was weird. But she would find out in due time while he t
The morning sun came slower than Corey wanted. He had awoken only mere hours after falling into slumber. Having enough time to bathe, and change into the same style of clothes he wore to bed. Only cleaner. He pulled the mask over his face, and study the dragon mage as she slept. The rise and fall of her chest. Her parted mouth as she drooled into the pillow, and snorted from time to time. He watched for what felt like hours, until she turned and he could see the tattoo. Hos eyes made a shuttering sound, a picture captured. ‘NewAge, scan this tattoo for me.’ NewAge: APHELION TATTOO. THE SKULL AND DRAGON BLOWING FIRE OVER IT. ORIGINS: THE ROYAL AMBASSADORS OF LITHUA. TH STRONGEST DRAGON MAGE FAMILY ACROSS THE LAND. ISSUE: GAINING A RANKING BOOST FOR THIS FAMILY IS DIFFICULT. YOU’D HAVE TO DO SOMETHING INCREDIBLE, TASK MERELY SATISFY THEIR BOREDOM AND PROVIDE FOOD AND MONEY. HENCE THE REASON YOUR MAGE, IS STUCK AT LEVEL 0005. Corey nodded, reading the words as NewAge spelled them
“What the fuck are you?” Corey marvels, stretching his arm to touch the leaves. Some are green, and some are pink. The tree bends out of reach, and giggles. Stunning Corey even more. “It can laugh. Amazing.” He took a picture to store in his memory. NewAge: ELDRIS EYES IS A LITERAL NAME FOR THE PLANTS THAT RESIDE NEXT TO THE TOWN. THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO SUCK AND DRAG ANYONE INTO THEIR FOREST TO FEAST ON THEIR BONES, NOT FLESH. THEY HAVE A BAD REACTION TO CERTAIN CRITERIA OF SKIN. LIKE OGRES AND ORCS. EVEN DEMONS. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT TO THE TOWN, KEEP WALKING ALONG THR STRAIGHT PATH UNTIL YOU END UP IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STREET. “Why is it called Eldris eyes?” NewAge: SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS AGO, A SEER NAMED ELDRIS ATTEMPTED TO ASSAULT A WITCH. SHE CURSED HIM, BY TURNING HIS ENTIRE BODY, INTO THIS FOREST AND FORCING HIM TO STAY STUCK AS TREES WITH EYES FOR ETERNITY. UNABLE TO EVER TOUCH A WOMAN AGAIN. THE TOWN NAME AFTER HIM, HAS THE HIGHEST CASES OF ASSAULT AND SEX TRAFFICK
“Who are you young lad? You don’t look like a drisian.” The seer motioned to the crowd, making a comparison between the mindless abusers, and this…. Demon, he thought. Corey rolled his shoulders, marking up a plan in his mind. The issue with his system, NewAge, is that the device wanted chaos and blood splatter without actually thinking. Corey, being only a level three, could get in serious trouble. And if he wanted to he the best, trouble would need a carefully deduced plan. The seer’s skillboard appeared above his head, Corey read through it, a level twenty five in psychic abilities. Taking this man down won’t be easy, especially if he chose to not follow NewAge’s path. ‘Only when necessary.’ He reminded himself. Giving in now would lead to disaster. “Do you have a brothel?” Corey asked the seer. The man’s eyes were switching in between normal, and almost demonic. He was trying to do something, but Corey clearly was immune to it. Though the teen didn’t say anything about it. He a
'There is another human?' the question was still hanging in the air, while Corey subconsciously rocked the little girl in his arms, back and forth. He thought he was the only human in the game. Although he didn't look human. NewAge: SEE FOR YOURSELF, COREY. SHE ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR, THE DOOR ON THE LEFT.Corey almost wanted to ask NewAge how it got this information, but he rationalized that the ability was glitched as hell. It could do much more than he was currently aware of, and he couldn't wait to break into it and unleash its true potential. For now, he needed to see this human. He first went to the ruined body of the seer, well what was left of it anyways. The drisian laying next to him, only groans his pain. His gut pierced by the bones of the dead man. The only part of him that, shockingly survived, were his eyes. Corey knelt to grab them, placing them in his inventory. He swabs the sticky green blood of the seer off his hand and onto his pants. Corey takes the route NewAge g
Eleanora had this frown on her face as she arranged a tent big enough for all of them. She had the mind to prepare separate tents, or put the new girl in the sleeping bag alone out for the vultures to feast on her unconscious body, but then Pamela opened her stupid mouth and convinced Corey, that it would be safer for all of them to sleep in the same tent. This way, no one can be kidnapped while the others are asleep. Eleanora hated that it was a good idea. Greta had spit her flames onto a patch of broken twigs, and dry wood that Corey had found. She was his wingman in chopping down trees to make little logs for them to sit on. Her talons provided the necessary sharpness. Pamela on the other hand, had taken a bath in the lake nearby and was watching Eleanora as she worked to get the large tent ready. It was easier to fold into a small wrap, and much harder to untangle and set up. But she wouldn't ask for help. Corey was out in the forest, looking for something they could prepare
Corey awoke first, sneaking out of the tent to go and take a bath in the lake. He got dressed there, before coming back to the camp site. The day was bright and early, yet everyone in his make shift team was fast asleep. Even Greta.NewAge: TIME TO CHECK THE MAP, COREY, WHERE DO WE BEGIN?'That part, I've had alot of time to think about it. We need to find a guild offering quests. If I can get a very high quest, then there's a chance at me being at level ten sooner than later.'NewAge: I LIKE THE IDEA. BUT WHAT GUILD WILL YOU GO TOO? ELEANORA DOESN'T KNOW EVERYWHERE.Corey laughed, but only on the inside. NewAge wanted him to test out the map. So he did, pulling out scroll like map. Making it wasn't easy, he had to crush the eyeballs and spread the pieces out on an empty piece of paper. Then he had to get some ingredients from NewAge to add to it. He waited almost an hour for it to be done. It was worth the hard work. The seer's eye would help in see everywhere in the game. He pulle
Eleanora was taking her time, with touching Greta. She closed her fingers when it got to close to grazing the scales, Corey kept pushing her arm. "I don't know if I can do this, Corey. Greta is a great Dane. They have a temper." Her teeth almost clattered with fear, and Corey rolled his eyes. Greta's skin glistens beneath the sun's gaze, as though it bathed her with the heat. She looked at peace. Disrupting the peace of a sleeping dragon is unwise, but he was confident. Eleanora was no where near confident. She had bad memories from the earlier times she tried to wake Greta up, and how it never played out well for her. "Breathe in." Corey places a whispers against the shell of her ear, the mage flushes. Goosebumps erupts all over her skin. She did as he commanded, taking a full gulp of air to fill her lungs. "Now breathe out."She exhaled slowly. Her eyes remained on Greta, and she summoned all the courage to touch the dragon. Her fingers had only landed on one of her scales, and
