A new day, and for once Corey had no questions to ask. That was mostly due to the fact that he was drowning. His eyes checrd around the blue sea. The color so thick he couldn't see anything. Not even his teacher that was supposed to be leading the class on an underwater tour. Corey could sense the woman and his classmates but he had developed a horrible habit o meditating anytime his brain started to overthink. He didn't think it was a bad thing until now, when he had let his body drift to the bottom while he emptied out this mind he was still at a loss for what to do about Edward Feldman's arrival. And meditating helped him find peace. Not the kind of peace Juno had, but the it was enough to keep him distracted. Corey eventually joined the class after his little break, the cold water felt nice against his leather suit. The scuba gear was uncomfortable but he had no choice but to wear it. The premise of the class was to expand the knowledge of the sea.And all Corey had learnt was tha
When Corey returned to the cabin, he had the best idea pop up in his head. He wanted some answers, or at least a direction on where he should be searching. So he went right for the terrible waterfall. Which Corey saw as beautiful. It was called the hidden gem, only those deserving of life and good luck would be able to see it. The waterfall had the ability to call people out of their lies, and Corey wanted to use that as a small phase to his plan.So he'd asked the waterfall a question."Why is Lectus's weapon called a Triton, instead of trident?" The water created a swirl, and bubble appeared. When it popped, the first thing Corey saw was a set of glowing words. The water explained that in Lectus's world, a Trident is another name for a fork. A triton takes the place of a Trident. But that in some occasions, it can be referred to as a Trident. Though the king Lectus would have the person executed for calling his weapon a fork. Corey nodded, that explanation made sense even though it
Too many questions plagued his mind, Corey took his next quest off his teachers, feeling excited to get away from Armageddon. This one would require him to take a trip to Lithua, and he specifically asked Iriel to stay back and guard the temple and cabin. She had said yes almost quickly, and Corey set off with the other girls. The quest seemed simple, but isn't that how it always starts? A simple quest that soon turns into something very unpleasant. And Corey knew to expect something bad. Lithua was the home of dragons, they weren't all friendly and under a mage's control. As they waited by a den for Eleanora to meet them up, Corey let his mind wonder over the last few days. Juno kept visiting, and Corey had yet to see Edward Feldman. Despite the posters saying he was arriving for a talk in the school. His new friend, Lincoln, kept bugging him. Acting like they had known each other forever and were the best of friends. Everything was off. And his locker was dismantled again. Corey k
'Should have just kept my mouth shut.' Corey kept saying to himself over and over again. Because he was strapped with lithua's best armor, and a bag of food to last him months while he ventured into a place Eleanora described while she trembled in his arms. Not really but choice, they were talking and she tripped. Corey caught her from hitting her head to her axe, and they continued to talk as if nothing happened. "The Lapio Den is the home of dragons. We don't go there. Those are untanrd dragons that even the strongest mages can't control. But it's where you'll find a salvation egg. The only dragon that can tell them what to do." She spoke fondly of the beast. "The one around the throne room is asleep. The real royal family are the only ones who tamed the beast. And right now they're in hiding. My parents haven't told the people why the king are and queen are suddenly wearing masks whenever they appear outside, but you know, they have to protect the royals.""So they need me to tam
"Well she doesn't waste any time.""Who?" Luke asked, drawing Corey to the light that he had said those words out loud. "No one. Luke, tell me, what will you do if I do free you? There's no way for you to get back to your home."Without hesitation, the sword answered. Perhaps he thought that Corey had a change of heart on the matter of freeing him. "I don't need to return to anywhere. I'll be honest, Corey, you and I are alike. I see how much power you have, but you're trying not to use it against others. And while I do respect that-"NewAge: DOES HE KNOW YOU'RE VERY MUCH GOING TO USE IT AGAINST EROGO FOR WHAT HE DID?'Doesn't have a single clue.'"- I think you need to take a little bit more from the world. Set people in line. Build a Kingdom, not a paradise."While to some that might have been enticing, Corey would argue his paradise was his Kingdom. You'd have to think like him. All he'd ever wanted to escape too, was a place where he couldn't be harmed. A place where he wouldn't
Corey hadn't returned back to Laverna's book. She was laying out some hard truths that he needed to wrap his head around. Practically, from what he had gathered, the odds were stacked up against him. As always. Corey slid down the tree once nightfall came, the heat hadn't reduced one bit and if Corey wasn't an obsessive about completing challenges, he would have walked back to the castle and laid a curse on a every dragon. The cat had left at some point, possible bored by Corey's lack of interest in him. On the ground, Corey searched for a place he could camp. He wasn't just done with Laverna. Now he knew that he had to find her. If Iriel was really shoved this deep into his life then doesn't that mean he's led himself straight into the arms of his enemies? The thought annoyed the hell out of him. Corey grumbled, and nursed his torso with his fingers. NewAge: I THINK LAVERNA IS DEAD.'What?'NewAge: THINK ABOUT IT, COREY. SHE SAID SHE READ EDWARD'S JOURNAL, AND THAT SHE HAD ALL THE
The next morning, the sun rose to cause more heat for Corey. He went in search of the salvation dragon. There was more turmoil in his head than he had before he came on this quest. Now Corey was aware of his enemies. You would think this made things easier for him, but it didn't. It only made things harder for him to understand. To plan his next course of action. Could he win when his ability, although very broken, was still partly a mystery to him?Why was there a limit to a limitless ability? He needed answers, which meant he had to turn back to Laverna. Corey didn't drink, neither did he eat anything, he had completely forgotten other things aside for what he needed to do. NewAge: DID LAVERNA WRITE ABOUT THE PROPHECY? 'I think so but I haven't gotten that far into it.'NewAge: THERE'S ALSO THE FACT THAT HER JOURNAL STARTS FROM HER THIRD LIFE. SHE'S DIED TWICE BUT THE JOURNAL STARTS AFTER THE SECOND.'Right. Check for Laverna, I'm pretty sure she must have changed her name but I'
Finding the salvation dragon was easy once Corey heard the dragon's growl. It was daring anyone who had the guts to cross its area. The queen and king were full of shit because there was no way in hell the dragon would move her nest and there was no need for her to move anywhere else. Standing on the edge do a steep cliff, Corey could only see the clouds. He had walked for so long while following the map that when he arrived at the top he almost walked off. He couldn't see anything for miles, nothing but clouds. There was a gap between where he stood and the other side where he could see the salvation dragon flying in a circle. She didn't look pleased at all, and Corey didn't want to bother her. Or tame her for that matter. The space between them was where the clouds laid. Confusing him about how high he was. He thought about teleporting over to that side but that sounded like too much. Especially for him to just see the egg and get his achievement. Though now that he was suspiciou
