Soul space

"Beep"

"If host thinks that that will be convenient, then go ahead. I am in no right to refuse that."

"Ok, from now on, I will be calling you Nakba. How do you think about that name?" After much deliberation, Lazy Wafula had decided to name the system this name, even if it would be reluctant to go by this name, he was adamant about calling it so. He would uncover the mysteries behind the system one day and he was not in the mood to give it a cool name. The system had even pissed him just now for peeking at his thoughts and he was not going to take that by lying down.

"Beep"

"Host should not think much about a mere name. I will take any name as long as it is convenient for you. I am not an emotional entity that will throw a tantrum over a mere name."

"Ok, your name is Nakba from now on. Keep that in mind." Lazy Wafula said indifferently. It seemed that he was just overthinking things about the system. A machine like it will not care about a mere name, right?

"Beep"

"System updating..."

[ 10% ... 29% .... 36% .... 47%... 67% ... 84% ... 100% ]

"Update successful."

"The system's name had successfully been verified and accepted."

"What do you mean by that? I mean, the verification thingy... Were some names not acceptable?" Lazy Wafula asked Nakba with a frowning expression on his face. The system had just told him earlier that any name that he chosed for it was accepted but why the need for the verification if all names were acceptable?

"Beep"

"Affirmative. All names are acceptable for the system except those names that will insults its creator or names that sounds the same as that of the creator."

Lazy Wafula nodded his head in agreement to what the system had just said but he was rather taken aback by the second reason - if the names sounds the same as the creator? He didn't even knew who the creator of this system was, alright? And why not name the system with the same name as its creator? Does this creator thinks highly of themselves in that even their names can not be used to name others? This reminded Lazy Wafula of a certain head of state on Earth who forbade his people from using the same name as him and he even went further and ask those who had the names same as him to change their names. Having the same name as the head of state of that republic was a crime. To Lazy Wafula this was like being petty and despotic.

"Man, if I may ask respectfully, the power that you harnessed when you fought those Wood Rivers at the last moments, that power was off limits buddy. You clearly told me that you were still at level one, how did such a power get inside you or where were you taping that power from, to make yourself that powerful as a level one?" Fey Wesonga asked Lazy Wafula with a perturbed expression. He didn't believe that Lazy Wafula was a level one mortal expert, or if he was, there has to be a treasure that he had used earlier to make himself that powerful at those last moments. He had heard of such treasures that can make a weak person so powerful all of a sudden in that they can even complete favorably with powerful experts on the same realm. He had only heard hearsays about those treasures but he had never seen them in action, he believed that this was his first time seeing such a treasure in action. He didn't even thought that that may be a beast soul that Lazy Wafula was using to boon himself because beast souls can easily be felt but the one that Lazy Wafula was using was impalpable not to mention that beast souls of higher level beasts were hard to control and they can easily ravage the spirit of the host.

When Lazy Wafula heard him, he glared at him making Fey Wesonga to cringe. He had became privy to the secrets of other people, that was something that was not encouraged in cultivation planes. He suddenly shuddered at the thought thinking that Lazy Wafula will lash at him for that same reason.

"Friend, forgive my privy mouth. I was too reckless..." Fey Wesonga hastily begged for mercy.

What Fey Wesonga had just said made him to recall that the power that he got all of a sudden in those last moments was strange even to him. He mused for a moment and remembered where that power went to after he cancelled it out.

Lazy Wafula only thought of one place when he thought of that power - the soul space, yes, that was the very first place where he should check out. Lazy Wafula allowed his consciousness into his soul space. This was the first time he was going to inspect his soul space after becoming a cultivator.

In his soul space, There was a building, yes, a building. This building was something that he had never seen anywhere in his whole life. Actually, this building was a castle from the mid dynasties, the castle also had a European vibe on it. This castle was black like black and it was the only thing that was the most esoteric in this place because the building was darkness itself, it was there yet not there at the same time. The area here was encompassed by a dark mist which made his vision hazy. What he can only see was the path leading into the castle and the vague image of the castle itself. He didn't knew why he appeared outside the castle instead of appearing inside. On the path leading into the castle, he can vaguely see the many graves beside his left and right side of the path, these graves were so many and they went as far as his eyes could see.

"Josephine Wambilianga Mathayo, sunrise in the year 1982 and sunset in the year 6478. She was a lovely, caring and a hard-working mother. We will miss you so much mother and we hope that wherever you go for the next life, turns out to be favourable for you. John 4 : 45." Lazy Wafula got a hang of the words written on the cross of one of the graves. Even though he was not seeing the words, just looking at the cross was enough for those words to resonate in his mind without him willing it. Lazy Wafula had tried dearly to repeat the words that resonated in his mind but it was as if his mouth was sealed and he can not utter a single word. The more he thought about the words that reverberated in his mind was the more he forgot about everything. It was like he  knew the people who were buried in those graves now and in the next moment, they turn out to be merely strangers. Being a cultivator of the dark attribute, Lazy Wafula had never failed to see in the dark and that includes the dark atmosphere of the undead cultivation plane. But in his soul space, the darkness here was on another level entirely. He can not see more than five metres around him, not to mention that his vision was hazy but he can clearly perceive vaguely his surroundings and that was how he knew that there was a castle at the end of this path and the cemetery beside him. The sky of this place was totally dark without any source of light. It was even more darkened than a vampire world, this was a place that only the dark souls of the fallen angels can stay. No normal being can take shelter in this place. Lazy Wafula had this gut feeling that the place where he was which was now his soul space, he had a feeling that this place exists in real life. This place was not just his imaginations but it was a place that exists. He just didn't knew where to find this place. But the thing that he was very sure about was that this place was not in the current dimension that he was living in. This place had to be in a higher dimension. He can clearly feel the slumbering radiating energies very far away from the castle. If the entity behind those radiating energies were woken up, then a dimension where Lazy Wafula was living in can be easily sundered by any of those beings with just a single slash of theirs. Make no mistake, a dimension where Lazy Wafula was for example, consisted of all the planets in that universe, that is the all the planets owned by different races. The dimension not only held the planets but also the cultivation planes where the cultivators from those planets cultivate. One can clearly see just how powerful the beings that were slumbering in those graves were. But for some reasons, Lazy Wafula didn't felt a thing. He simply had this thought that the guys slumbering in those graves were powerful and that was it. He was not jittering or wetting his pants as anticipated. One should know that the pressure that those beings releases can crush experts below the god realm like nothing, how can a mere mortal realm expert like Lazy Wafula fare?

Anyway, Lazy Wafula averted his gaze from peeking around lest he woke up something that would make him regret. Who knew if those beings might try to possess him? He had to be vigilant in this place and only come here when it was too necessary. A place like this one was not a place to come very often as if it was an amusement park or a cinema hall.

Lazy Wafula walked slowly towards the exquisite door of the castle in front of him. It seemed that the owner of this castle spent really a lot to this castle. Everything was just superb. Lazy Wafula can easily tell that the castle had been here for eons but it was still vibrant as if it was built yesterday.
