Halting in her footsteps, Larissa turned her head with wide eyes, only to see the man she had lost contact with for the whole night snoring on the sofa.

His coat was missing, his tie loosely hanging around his neck, and quite a few of his shirt buttons were unbuttoned. His shirt was wide open, exposing his pecs.

However, Larissa's attention was drawn to the red lipstick mark on his neck.

Even though she knew that she had no right to hold him accountable or be jealous in any way, she found that she was unable to move her feet. Her heart felt like it was being crushed by something, and Larissa could not breathe, her mind completely blanking out.

The large sofa was small for Kevan, and he turned in discomfort, scaring Larissa as well as bringing her back to reality.

It was late. She should not delay any longer.
