Chapter 30
After Amber was discharged from the hospital, Travis still did not send his parents away.

He terminated her lease for the one-bedroom apartment she used to live in and rented a two-bedroom apartment to make it easier for his parents to stay and take care of her.

As for himself, he started coming home later and later as time went on. Even when he had finished all of his tasks, he would create excuses to work overtime just to avoid being on the receiving end of Amber's sudden rages.

Today was no different.

When Travis arrived at the restaurant, most of Larissa's colleagues had already dispersed, leaving only a few who were sober to accompany Larissa until his arrival.

Travis didn't know if he was simply overthinking or not. He couldn't help but feel that the remaining people in the private room were looking at him with open disdain, as if they despised his very existence.

"Ms. Seymour is over there." Larissa's assistant pointed at Larissa, who was already asleep on a round table
