CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX

Finally, the endless torture of a movie night had come to an abrupt end and Kevin realized that it took him a while to get a feel of his legs. He had turned surreptitiously at Meredith who has been playing the dumb one at the moment. How she had managed to remain calm and act like nothing had happened actually baffled him but since she was not talking about it, who was he then to make mention of it or anything of the sorts.

She walked away from the theatre while he followed her carefully until they were fully out of the cinema.

"You've been staring at me, why?" She asked him.

"No. I haven't." He said to her as he tucked his hands into his pockets. Kevin was as nervous as anyone could portray at the moment but he was thriving to conceal it.

"Very well then. I wish you were though." She said suddenly.
