CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

Kevin had made his way after school to the studio where he was going to work on the new job. He was actually late as he spent some time hanging out with the bully trio and recounting how he had eventually won Mickey over.

"Don't let your guard down." Allen had warned him.

"But I believe he's changed." Kevin said to him.

"One thing you should know, people like Mickey do not change. They get worse. They would only draw nearer to you just to make sure you get ruined." Allen concluded.

Kevin was actually confused but the moment he arrived the boutique, he cleared his mind off everything about Mickey and the trio. The manager was ready to see him.

"I actually thought you would not be showing up again." He said to Kevin.

"Of course not, sir. I was caught up at school." Kevin responded.

The man looked him over and smiled.

"Looks like you guys had a day with painting." He said to Kevin.

Kevin looked at the paint splatters on his cloth and smiled nervously.
