CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY

Mickey had his excitement pulsating through him as he made the run for it. He hailed down a cab without bothering about the price as it had become clear that Kevin's humiliation was his very own game plan. To think he had missed school that day just to wait on her to call him. He had already rehearsed how he was going to tell it to her face that she was beginning to go off their bargain. She was supposed to report everything to him.

In the cab, the driver kept looking at him from the rear mirror obviously just to make certain he had not brought a crazy person on board. He would sometimes see Mickey staring back at him and flashing him a smile of the sorts. The latter to reassure him privacy lest he be taken for an escape psycho would return the smile.
