CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR

Kevin had bid Omar bye and returned to the party just when the music had suddenly gone off.

Apparently, Melinda had spoken just when the number ended and they had been in the act of changing the song when she spoke up suddenly. She could not believe she had spoken so loudly even as everyone was looking including Vanessa. The hired DJ has gone with the question on the minds of everyone as he did not hit play when Kevin entered and all eyes fell on him.

He had been traumatized in the past with bad things befalling him whenever people stares this way at him and there was no single eye in the room lacking judgement within them. He looked around and could see the horror in Vanessa's eyes as she stared at him prompting him to wonder what she had done this time around.

Amelia had been in the act of grabbing a drink when it happened and then she saw a chance to save his reputation. She suddenly started off to him as she stretched out both hands.
