"You're standing?" Allen said totally overwhelmed and in a teary mood at this point. Clearly, he had not anticipated this feat to be achieved so soon."I guess I am but not for long Barry, Niguel, I'm getting shaky." She responded now with a shaky voice as she was already shaking."Excuse us." Barry said as the phone was suddenly dropped on the table and there was shuffling sounds in the background.Allen turned to Kevin with tears in his eyes only to find that the latter too was already crying. This was more or less a miracle that had not been expected but it was even a better reward to cap for all the stress they had gone through in the last few days since the weekend. A lot had really happened but in the midst of all, there's was something to smile about in the end."Did you see that? She was standing on her two feet. Maria stood for the first time in over a decade Kevin." Allen said to him."I saw. I'm so happy." Kevin responded as tears streamed down his cheeks. This was just ab
"What do you mean, doctor?" Vanessa's dad asked the man. They had come in this morning and the sooner they had arrived, they were asked to meet with the doctor for a discussion regarding their daughter. The doctor sat opposite them on his side and seemed to be weighing the duo that could pass up for Bonnie and Clyde. He could tell how vain they were and no surprise why they had been so adrift not to have noticed their daughter getting all suicidal and pained. He had just informed them that Vanessa would have to be taken into a rehabilitation center for betterment of herself as currently, she was clearly in a traumatic state thanks to her experience. He had noticed what a fighter she was but there were clear signs from her brain activity what was happening to her.Telling her parents what their daughter needed right now was like hell to them as no kidding, they would rather they do not have to go through such embarrassment as they termed it all for her sake. "Surely, doctor. You do n
Kevin woke up this morning feeling a lot better. He had actually been unable to bring himself to go to school the previous day as his soul needed a lot of rest at this point. He had been really unhappy as to how things had been happening around him of late.Mickey also had called him the previous day to explain that Vanessa was getting a lot better and her parents made it clear they would be relocating her (no surprise since they had been of the opinion that they would keep it all a secret where she was actually going but they kept up their lie to even Mickey and Alice). Kevin felt a lot better hearing all of this.He got ready for school this morning, knowing that afterwards, he would be required to show up at the place he would be receiving his training alongside his manager. He had only now to go through the schedule that had been sent to him and he could see how busy his week was about to become. No complains though, he was looking forward to the time.He opened his door and nearl
"Your keys, Sir." The chauffeur standing by the brand new Audi sports car said to Kevin. This had to be a dream because he did not remember the system saying anything about him getting a car. Their last encounter was basically on the fact that the system was supposed to help him locate his real family. This was strange."I think you have the wrong house." Kevin said to him and turned to Amelia who was beside him, "Why did you let him in, he's got the wrong house.""Patience, Kevin. Sir, it's your turn now." Amelia said to the chauffeur."Just a minute, sir." He said to Kevin as he reached into his pocket and fished out his phone. He started pressing around and then placed it against his ears. Then he listened for a while."Alright, sir. He's here." He said to whoever was at the other end and then turned to Kevin. "For you, Sir."Kevin was confused but nevertheless, he took the phone and placed it against his ears."I did not order for a car." He said. The person at the other end chuck
Perhaps the news of my car acquisition shielded me from a couple of other judgemental stuff but we had to get down to school activities as it should have been all this while. I had been up and running on the receiving end of congratulations from everyone around me as it would come to seem that they were all pleased and happy for me. I had my life back again and this time, it was beginning to feel like I merited it. Unlike then when it was all like I had been the evil demon of the whole lot.But then, it was the system that bothered me right now. It had mentioned family to me and now I had to admit to the fact that I was already on the edge where I could lose control any moment. Was it really going to bring me to my family as it had gone silent and the system very much was nothing that I could actually look up and look forward to helping me out with anything at this point. It would pretty much rather delay and show up just when it feels like it. This was what I had to deal with everyti
Kevin could not believe what had just happened with the principal. The influence of Don Quinton or his popularity but either way, it would come to seem as though he was actually swimming in the greatness of the time he found himself. The principal had taken it upon himself to punish the boys and to their dismay, they were to serve detention for two hours for the next two weeks. How funny as he used to be at the receiving end of all of this maltreatment. Although he enjoyed it, he did not want his time at the top to seem like tyranny. He wanted to do better and he needed his focus on everything he was doing. Kevin and the boys left the office as he held the bag of ice to the little scratch on his forehead that was actually a little on the red side of things. "I do hope this would not cause distortions to our star?" The principal had asked while escorting them out of his office."I'll be fine." Had been Kevin's response. When they returned to class without the other two, it was easier
It was strenuous but he had to keep pushing forward.. Kevin found how exhausting the entire thing had been for days since he resumed training. He had heard his alarm this morning and it felt like he would want to smash it in pieces as fatigue was beginning to make his bones feel like rubber. He flopped on his bed but then, missing school was not an option either as he had a serious quiz to get ready for. Kevin was gradually crawling up the point and brink of never returning. He waited for a little while before finally pulling himself off the bed.As he got into the bathroom, he picked up his brush and started to do his usual morning rituals. His skin actually glowed and he was more than satisfied with his reflection in the mirror. He suddenly slowly raised his shirt and noticed how his abs were actually beginning to form. Today was going to be a very busy day as he had a quiz, training and a little thing his manager had refused to actually feel him in on. He had not the slightest idea
"Let's sit here then." Alice said to Kevin. It was the little raised pavement by the parking lot where they used to sit. That was a fun spot for students at some point and a hiding spot also. Nevertheless, Kevin sat down in greater hopes that things would go smoothly. He reckoned he would be mindful of his eyes as there was actually no telling what would happen and he could not have a shoot with black eyes or his manager would kill him."Alright, Alice. Why are we here?" Kevin asked her."Heard you were ill. Are you fine now?" She asked him.Was she here to play courtesy or use him further now her sister was away or something because at this point, he would rather he makes it clear to everyone including her that he had not the time and energy to take anything shoved at him. He wanted nothing further with any lady. Either way, he chose courtesy over rudeness."I'm fine. Just have to sit out this game. So tell me, whats up?" Kevin asked her."I needed us to talk." She responded."Talk?
