CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWO

"I need to think about this." She said to him after he responded.

Whatever his response had been really got her emotional that all she could think about was to figure out a way to dodge the entire thing. She needed time but deep down, Vanessa already had her answer. She wanted to play the hard bird now and nut to crack as she looked at Kevin steadily.

"Sure. But do not take long. We should figure this out." He said to her and winked.

"I promise." She said.

"I would be praying for something positive though." He chipped in and she smiled widely at him. Clearly, he had her totally floored.

Vanessa had turned away to leave when she paused suddenly, forcing Kevin to begin to wonder what it was that had caused her to halt. She made her way back to him suddenly as she stood on her tippy toes and placed a kiss on his cheeks before embracing him briefly and walking away.
