CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

It had been such an amazing party and then it was time to leave. Kevin did not want to overstay. He knew the guys were still on with the whole partying stuff but certainly not him. He needed to get home. Kevin stood up suddenly.

"Going for more drinks?" Allen asked him suddenly.

"No. I really think I should be going home right now." Kevin said.

Allen sat upright and signaled the girl on his lap to excuse them.

"Seriously, Kev? You really should stay. We've yet to get to the highlight of the whole stuff, you know?" Allen said to him.

Kevin smiled.

"I know but I got something important to attend to at home." Kevin lied.

"The party ain't important?" Allen asked him without smiling.

Kevin was worried that he just might have provoked the bullies leader and would lose the protection they offered him. He quickly jumped in with a near apologetic explanation.

"Of course not. The party is awesome. I just really need to be home. That's all, but if you want me to stay, I could..." He began sputte
