Chapter 55: The Canteen Crisis

Seeing the troubled expressions on the workers' faces, Justin was extremely curious. He asked a worker what was going on. After being evasive initially, the worker finally explained the matter clearly under Justin's repeated urging.

"Mr. Wilson! It's not that we don't want to eat. The food in the employee canteen is simply awful and expensive. A meal costs forty to fifty dollars. We ordinary workers can't afford that!"

"Not only is it expensive, the portions are ridiculously small. The canteen manager, Nathaniel, is the younger brother-in-law of Zachary, whom you just beat up. Those two rascals usually make trouble and extract money from us in the factory. The food used to be quite decent in our canteen. Although we couldn't have meat with every meal, at least we had enough to eat and it tasted good. However, after those two took over, the meals have become worse and worse. We really don't want to eat in the canteen anymore. We might as well spend a little over twenty dollars to coo
