CHAPTER 101

“I’m probably not the first guy who praised your looks,” Gabe continued to speak with her, but he wasn’t staring into her eyes anymore. “But I don’t think it’s healthy for me to continue to live in your room while hiding all the feelings in my heart.” He looked at her face again. “I still remember the first time I saw you. You were eating tamarind candy outside the school. A vehicle horn startled you, and the candy slipped and fell on the ground. You hesitated to pick it up at first. You then looked around to see if anyone was watching. Probably nobody was looking except for me. You wiped the dirt off the candy and put it in your mouth again.”

Mia’s brows frowned in embarrassment as she still remembered that incident. To think that was when Gabe first saw her… she felt even more embarrassed now.
