Mia chuckled. “Do you want me to paint your nails, too?”

“W-What? I’m a man, so no thanks,” Gabe said, “is what I want to say, but this experience might not come again, so you can paint the nails of my left hand.”

Once her nails had dried enough, she took care of Gabe’s nails. Compared to him, she was delicate and managed to paint his five fingers in just five strokes.

Gabe was impressed. “Masterful.” Now that he remembered, she was always good with a brush. If only Kiera hadn’t betrayed her, Mia would have become a rising star in fashion designing, he believed.
